Panic over politics, and some strange notions.
I keep reading about "project 2025" but never from the supposed proponents of same, though I do frequent right wing political sites. It does have a Wikipedia article though.

Seeing everything in the news lately, the failing of the democratic party, and scotus decisions that leave the door wide open for dictatorship is horrifying. The potential for project 2025 to come to fruition is so tangible right now I can’t help but feel worried for the future.

How do you not fall into panic when you see the writing on the wall mso clearly for whats to come? I’d like to stay optimistic, but it’s hard to when when doing so makes me feel like I’m avoiding making real plans for when/if it happens.

Idk when being trans went from being a scientific marvel to being a political piece, but its scary. And with new presidential immunity, there is no safety from the harm American leaders introduce.

I just want to live my life normally with no problems, but now I have to sit here biting my nails while the only thing standing in the way of a darker future is a rotting corpse of a president that can’t stand up for the job.

How are you supposed to act normal and live day to day seeing this all unfold in real time?

Sorry to bring more negativity. I just need to get my thoughts out somewhere and looking for others who can help make me not have my mind flood with panic every day.

It became a political piece when places like reddit and tumbler made it that. They're the ones that cried about "trans rights". They're the ones that wanted being trans to not be seen as a mental illness when before it was, because wanting to chop off healthy body parts is a sign of mental illness. They're the ones that push this on kids. They're the ones that demand free surgery and hormones because if you make them want even a little bit they scream genocide. They're the ones that push for trannies to be in everything so it becomes normal. They're the ones that scream hate crime when you misgender them and scream that migendering should be a crime. They're the ones that have shot up schools, and gone on stabbing sprees because they're "born in the wrong body". They're the ones that demand every one ask for pronouns but also hate it when you ask pronouns because it's clocks them. They're the ones that demand you need to date them or you're a bigot.

Before all this trannies did mostly keep to themselves. No one cared and things where fine. So reddit tranny don't go crying about how you just want to live your life. Trannies did have that and people like you ruined it because you can't keep your mouth shut. You screamed at people calling them monsters and Nazis because they misgendered you. Now people are pushing back, deal with it.

From what I've been told by an ex-military person, the admission standards as well as the physical fitness requirements are so watered down now that pretty much anyone with a pulse is allowed in and not pushed that hard by today's drill instructors. If I recall, "gender affirming care" is now part of military healthcare, so there's that appeal as well.

It's so fucking annoying because that same arc introduces another explicitly trans character that the fanbase basically just ignores. Probably because it seemed like Yamato was going to join the Straw Hats and so they only cared about her. The main cope I see is somehow the Vivre Cards (basically databooks for those not familiar with One Piece), that Oda makes and supervises, blatantly lists Yamato as female. Keep in mind that everything Oda says about a character in fan-sent questions or other Vivre Cards is taken as gospel, but not this one specific thing. I can only wonder why.

They are also rules lawyers, that age is very keen on knowing the rules and pointing out transgressions. Even guys who love their kids or like kids in the wholesome way typically don't like taking on those roles and get annoyed having to do anything other than be the "funny guy". Agreed. Men teaching under-10's (by choice and not because they've been forced to supply-teach) is a red flag. In bongland male teachers of the youngest boys in public schools were always the most depraved when it came to corporal punishment.

Ever since i came out a few month ago my mother in law has been making puke faces behind my back (like a 8 year old I know) and been talking shit about me to my wife's family. I'm amab and not that visually "not cis" I just got nice nails done, nice shaved legs some jewelry. I have a few maneurism as well but overall nothing too extravagant. At least not around her.

Today my son wants his grandma to be here for his birthday dinner, fair enough. But for most of it I just felt like crap. I usually don't care what other people think but it's just hard feeling to shake off as it's not a single event but rather the cumulation from a few.

My wife is supportive in the sense that she does not engage with her mom much anymore and is pretty distant when they used to be close. It's probably due to the fact that she also told her she was bisexual. I am not sure.

Anyway my mother in law will be part of our life I can't deny that. My kids love her and she is after all my wife's mom as well so I have to figure out how to like not feel like crap around her.
