Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. It's one of the cornerstones behind the "HRT is magic" argument because, despite having XY chromosomes, people with it develop to be basically indistinguishable from women with XX chromosomes. The differences are mostly internal, lack of a womb and ovaries for example.Testosterone insensitivity syndrome (or something like that) is a thing that makes XY people develop female, but from my understanding it is usually diagnosed at the latest during puberty because they don't get periods.
Actually a lot of legitimate endocrinology revolves around things learned from CAIS women, in that despite having little estrogen and no progesterone, they develop more or less the same as XX women, which implies that a feminine external appearance is more or less the "default" in humans and that a masculine appearance is the result of consistent large amounts of testosterone (also visible in how eunuchs will significantly "soften" after castration) rather than something actually caused by the Y chromosome.
Before anyone calls me a troon apologist, I think calling people with CAIS women is fine. They've been raised female, and the nature of their condition is such that despite having male levels of testosterone, their body is actually incapable of using it, at all, so they've also developed female (or as close to it as they can). These are not men who on a whim decided to force their way into female spaces to satisfy a disgusting fetish, they're women who happen to be infertile from a genetic defect.
Are you sure it's XXY specifically? 47XXY is Klinefelter's Syndrome, they're visibly male (specifically, they look like lanky but soft males). It's usually undiagnosed until they're adults, and then only discovered when they're trying to have children (infertility is a common symptom, 50% can't produce sperm at all and those who can still only produce very small amounts). It might be that she's leaving something out. My mates daughter has XXY chrome's.. But she also has downs syndrome. But she's very lucky in that she has nothing else wrong with her, in terms of physical comorbidities, that's downs people often do. His layman's theory is its because she's got at least two full unfucked letters.
It might be that this chick is just slightly tidying up her telling to make this fit in a neat little bittersweet that's life anecdote-so close to being a normal dude! - for updoots and because people like to be wistful and dramatic.
