I can't believe that he blames 'Parable of the Sower' for inspiring his daffy ideas. That book is very good, very raw, a survival story with a young female protagonist, and has a very unflinching look at male violence, sexual violence, and the dangers men pose to women (without getting overly bogged down in it - again, it's very well written and feels very realistic). No one is a genderspecial in that book, so I have no idea what an autistic autogynephilic man-child CEO would like about it.
The book is also very concerned with material reality and practical, everyday things. No one is uploading themselves into Twitter in that book. I'd expect Mr. Rothblatt to imprint onto 'Ready Player One' or 'Snowcrash' instead.
The protagonist describes herself as being tall and kind of androgynous with a buzzcut, and talks about how she could probably disguise herself as a man to avoid male sexual violence. But it's only like a short paragraph, and not a main part of the book. Maybe he thinks she's a genderspecial enby demiqueer.
As for the mannequin head that he pretends is his dead wife: I think that this is another expression of AGP. Martine Rothblatt needs images of women that he can control in order to psychologically soothe himself. Wether those images are animatronic mannequin heads with bad wigs, under-lit SecondLife avatars, or his own body, they all serve a similar purpose. This argument is fucking retarded and it irks me as someone who cares a lot about individual liberty in an increasingly collectivist world. The pharmaceutical industry has oversight to ensure doctors can't just give people whatever the fuck they think they want because that creates a dangerous incentive structure. There are effective medications, such as dinitrophenol for weight loss, that are to nobody's shock or horror banned in the land of the FREE because they are extremely dangerous.

To put it mildly, there are very strong arguments that practically every form of current best practice "transgender care" is more harmful than helpful. There are no efforts to argue against this, notice how they always rely on histrionics such as invoking the idea of a genocide rather than the actual merits of this "care." If doctors can prescribe testosterone to confused young women, I see no logical reason why it shouldn't be prescribed to bodybuilders. I could at least respect an argument from the perspective of "people should get to do what they want with their own bodies" even if it is remarkably stupid and short sighted, but they're not arguing that, they're as usual arguing from emotion that they should be above the rules which govern the rest of society.
