Did you guys notice if you owned either TW Warhammer 1 or 2 on Steam, you now have Warhammer 3?

Yep, it's part of their "rework" to give those who owned TWW1/2 to at least have access to the Immortal Empire map mode.

You read about it here. Cynically, this is probably just to shore up their main product after how they delayed ToT and the recent fuckups they made.

I thought Neferata was part of the Nagash DLC. You see her in the video at the least but no details on how it shakes out. Maybe they'll make her an FLC.
She'll be her own thing first.

Nagash can make her a mortach and she'll abandon her faction.

The other three lords are:

Glotkin

Rat Skeletor

And presumably an imperial character

Is there even a reason to install WH3? I could care less about any of the new factions and the new siege system looks like ass.

There is no point in playing WH 1 or 2. With all the updates to tech trees, race reworks, items, balance, diplomacy etc. WH3 is factually the better game.
Then the only down side is not being able on confederate some of the newer factions since i dont own their DLC. No, i dont know how to pirate that stuff.

I'd recommend checking out mods from the steam workshop and creamapi (it pirates all the dlc). I don't remember it being hard to install, but I did autisticly comb the reddit/github for a while. Might not work after the update anyway.

As mentioned above, it is a sly marketing strategy. Once you open the faction/lord selection screen it will become apparent. Every BASE wh3 lord is gated behind an $60 "upgrade pack". New players still have to buy the dlc lord packs too lol

I won't stay up to watch Hydrobot, but here is my prediction because I don't want 40K to be real. It's going to be either Age of Shitmar or Star Wars. Looking forward to the meltdown on reddit.

Shitmar would be the laziest option to go with so I would say its likely that. They can reuse a lot of the rigging, textures, and on. Sure the orks are "orruks" and the dwarfs are "duardin" but they're the same shit.

TW Pharoah Dynasties was their best non-hero game yet. Though not many people played it due to non-game factors.
A few months back I gave Dynasties a shot. It's a fine game, but there's also gameplay reasons it didn't catch on. Mainly how all the extra campaign mechanics take focus away from the battles. Similar issue I had with 3 Kingdoms, they feel like half assed grand strategy games building up to 1-2 worthwhile battles per session. For context I mostly play the Warhammer games and Attila nowadays.

The battle maps and campaign AI are better than WH3 which isn't saying much

lol gonna watch how CA handles this dumpster fire with their shit ass engine.
They claim to have a new engine for this and Medieval 3. The battle they showed looked like a cramped arena, dow3 vibes. I was hoping for larger scale battles with titans and artillery. After the WH3 launch and continued """support""" it's hard to be optimistic for anything CA puts out.

Yeah I thought it looked super odd and not in line with the total war vibe at all. I'm curious about it to say the least, but I can't be excited about it. Also no mention of chaos is very unfortunate. The description just says "space marines" as well, I wonder how much real variation between chapters there will be.
