JiDion, a predator hunter who often works with Alex Rosen, may be kicking off a feud with Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

It all started with a catch in a gated neighborhood where he busted a severely disabled pedo who was trying to hook up with a minor. The video culminates with a member of the Polk County Sheriff's Department dropping the hard r nigger word on camera. JiDion titles the video "Cop calls me the N-Word Instead Of Arresting A Predator!" It should be noted that the cop does not directly call JiDion a nigger, but rather he says "You're calling me a nigger now?" The pedo was not arrested.

This gets JiDion pissed off at Polk County and he digs up a report of Sheriff Judd making a 13 year old write an apology letter to two family members she accused of raping her. Shortly after she was forced to apologize, she took matters into her own hands by recording evidence of her being assaulted. This led to one of the family members she accused being arrested. She is now suing Polk County and Grady Judd for the way they handled their initial investigation.

IDK if its been covered in this thread but something to include in the OP is the tendency of some predator catchers to end up fighting with employees and security guards at the places they bust pedophiles at

There is a surprising number of stores that frown on the practice of luring potentially dangerous pedophiles into their premises then chasing them around, knocking over merchandise, while yelling like a mongoloid during business hours

My favorite one is that video from People v. Predators where he confronts a predator high on meth and somehow ends up turning an entire store against him

Another one that sticks out is from "Protect the Innocent" where she confronts a predator working at a Sprout's supermarket and then the manager who sees the confrontation without context intervenes. She is flabbergasted that the manager doesn't take her accusations at face value. She is calmly told to leave the premises, and she proceeds to make her point by threatening to make a scene and dares the manager to call the cops on her, which is exactly what happens. The rest of the video is devoted to her storming an Employee's Only area where she proceeds to calmly go apeshit until the police arrive to trespass her with the threat of arrest. She says she'll forward the evidence to the police but I haven't seen any updates about the pedophile yet (other than he might have been fired or quit)

It amazes me how many of these idiots wonder why some retail managers don't want to put their jobs and public safety on the line to allow random Youtubers to do legally questionable "sting operations" on pedophiles in the middle of the store

The predator catcher from the first video should have been held just as responsible for that hit and run as the tweaking predator. The crash was a direct response to his being chased around the store and repeatedly harassed and screamed at causing him to wig out and get stupid. This is exactly why companies don't want these people fucking with predators in the store or on their property and should have told the guy to fuck off and leave the parking lot before letting the catcher out of the store. If it was my car that got smashed up i'd have sued everybody involved, including the store. Encouraging some random guy to tackle a guy wigging out on meth isn't a particularly good idea either for any number of reasons. You aren't a cop, you don't get to tackle random people. Thats a great way to get shot or stabbed

As for the second one, the fact she went in the store wearing a face mask trying to hide who she is should be a major red flag in itself. Those are not the actions of somebody who has good intentions. Somebody approaches me with a camera dressed like that i'd tell them to fuck off and warn them things are going to escalate real quick if they don't

Paramount released a documentary called Predators focusing on Chris Hansen's ongoing efforts to catch and expose pedophiles. I haven't seen the doc, but he apparently criticizes amateur pedo hunters like Alex Rosen.

Rosen has taken exception to this and challenged Hansen to a livestreamed debate regarding tactics and methods. He attaches two images, one of him confronting a hospital employee and another of Hansen's mugshot stemming from his arrest over a bad check.

Hansen responded by blocking Rosen.


My take on this is Chris Hansen is far from perfect. TCAP ended in a huge shitshow with allegations of entrapment. But if it weren't for Hansen, guys like Rosen wouldn't be traveling across America catching predators. Rosen starting drama with Hansen reminds me of an old saying about teaching your father to fuck.

I also think Rosen should back off from the drama. He's doing the Lord's work by catching pedos. But the drama shit doesn't help him.

I saw it (it's good actually), and he does, though it's just like a quick two sentence answer to the interviewer's question. He says he's better than amateur hunters "because they do it for clicks and money". So I'd have to agree with Rosen on this one. TCAP clearly does it for views and money. Plus Hansen's producer had just been bragging about how many subscribers their Youtube channel got in the previous scene.

IIRC, TCAP was originally a Dateline special that spun off into its own series after it got popular. They weren’t uploading videos to social media saying “Give us money because YouTube’s about to cancel us.” They had their income from their network and their advertisers.

That being said, TCAP was journalism and journalism is below grifting. But Chris Hansen did help put a lot of pedos behind bars so he gets a free pass.

With a lot of stings being set up in stores, I kind of feel bad for the store employees that have to put up with all this shit. I don't really watch these videos, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these channels make no effort to apologize to employees or any of the customers that get caught up in this shit. If I was a wagie and these people have a fight when I'm on my shift, I'd want them to atleast pick up the shit that they knock over.

Two counterpoints I'd raise:
(A) Leaving pedo busting to law enforcement means fewer of them get caught because the reality is cops have limited resources and manpower; law enforcement is also largely reactive for the same reason, meaning they in most cases only hand out punishment after a child is harmed. It would not surprise me if many of these pedo busters started out as disgruntled locals who saw this happen repeatedly, grew frustrated, and decided they needed to do something about it.
(B) Sting operations like this involve significant amounts of time and effort such that it's not really economically viable to do it entirely out of pocket. Unless you're solely sniffing out local criminals you're footing interstate travel bills and devoting so much time to it that holding down other forms of gainful employment is nearly impossible. Monetizing it solves this problem.

I'm not suggesting these methods aren't sketchy as all hell or even that this whole thing hasn't turned into a grift. I do however think that at least a few of these quasi-vigilantes got into the business of pedo busting with good intentions. Personally, my litmus is whether they immediately call the cops upon confirming the perp or drag it out and hold law enforcement over their head to blackmail them into a "conversation". The latter is a clear sign that monetizing a serious issue is taking precedence over actually putting predators behind bars.

I think it's a mix of both. You'll have people who are just in it for the sadism and are picking one of the least sympathetic groups in society to enact violence against so they can get their fix consequence free. You'll also have people who start off with genuine intentions and get lost in the sauce with either the money or the environment they're putting themselves in encouraging antisocial behavior. Ultimately, there's a reason why law enforcement personnel who carry out these sorts of stings professionally are rotated in and out and nobody's exposed to the stuff for too long at once.

I like how all the comments on that post are room temperature IQ takes about how the cops must be pedos too. If this guy is "under investigation", he's definitely messed up more than one LE sting before and the police have had enough. Osceola County has a big enough force that they don't need or want to cooperate with YouTubers.

Grady's on record (publicly, via press conference) literally telling citizens to arm themselves and shoot-to-kill if someone tries to break into their house. Polk County is Disney-adjacent, and has big chunks of the tourism sector in it too, like International Drive, the convention centers (I think?) and all the requisite prostitution-ridden hotels and such, so they go pretty hard after sex crimes. They're also not big fans of false reports (which is what led to their retarded handling of that girl's case -- I hope she cleans house with them over that).

The thing with sex crimes (as so many others have pointed out here) is prosecution is difficult, and a good defense attorney can weasel a lot of seeming "slam-dunks" right back out of trouble. Polk County really doesn't like vigilantism for sex crimes. It makes them harder to prosecute.
