Maybe she'll cause the game to fail badly enough, or start enough bullshit behind the scenes, that they'll be forced to reboot Tomb Raider again. Optimistic, I know.
I can't find much on twitter about her thoughts on tomb raider specifically, just a cosplay she did in 2016. Not bad tbh.

Interesting... Well, she got Lara's look right, I can respect that.
So far the new game is confirmed to "unify the timelines", so most likely it's gonna be a soft reboot but they'll keep survivor Lara's backstory because "All Laras are valid" and shit. Another remake of TR1 is also rumored.

There's definitely a point to be made about Crystal/Eidos hypocrisy, particularly when it comes to the reboot outfits and realism. In 2013's game Lara's tank top is tiny and barely protective and she's visibly freezing in it, yet it never occurs to her to pick up a jacket from one of the dudes she murdered? Shorts are sexist misogyny, yet they still wanted her to look cute for the sexist nerd power crowd because, guess what, that's what sells, nobody wants to play in a flat fat boring shit like Shit of Woke Raider "Classic" skin! Why can't she wear shorts when she's literally in a jungle? Fucking fans did a better job.
I don't even like the reboot but JFC not everything in it is sexism.

I can't figure out the complaint with the winter gear. She shows a bit more boob compared to classic Lara? Ok I guess. It's still a nicely designed outfit.
It's pretty hard to fuck up a Lara cosplay to be honest. If a lady can't rock cargo shorts and tank top with a ponytail, you're probably doing something wrongI can't find much on twitter about her thoughts on tomb raider specifically, just a cosplay she did in 2016. Not bad tbh.

Most classic fans seem to enjoy, or at least acknowledge, the sexier aspect of classic Lara, so it's weird seeing fans who straight up pretend it was never a thing until later games. It's like they're so caught up in feminist criticism that they need to deny the obvious to justify liking TR.

Here's something cool I stumbled across online : A Tomb Raider card game from the 90's.
The basic idea is that you and other players construct a dungeon using the cards you have and you each choose a tomb raider to travel through the dungeon. Whoever successfully retrieves the treasure wins. For your choice of tomb raiders you had different versions of Lara(like Acrobat Lara, Scuba Diver Lara etc.), characters from the video games, and characters made just for the card game. I've never played it myself and I'm sure the concept of "make a dungeon with cards" has been done better by other tabletop games since then, but I think it's cool nonetheless.
Though I have to say the designs for the raider cards could be better. Most of the cards use art and screenshots from the games, but the raider cards use original art of varying quality and art styles. Plus, you can barely read the text on some of them.
Did anyone actually try reading these cards before sending them out to print?

classic fandom is somewhat divisive as a whole. I used to be heavily anti-reboot and sided with the critical feminist fans (because we had to deal with shit like this) who argued Lara's sexualization was a power image, but I slowly backpedalled when I started to realise how demeaning and regressive their rhetoric is. Especially, how they kept attacking the male nerds like that person I posted above...
It kinda annoys me how the only women that allowed to be sexy now are femme fatale caricature dominatrixes like Bayonetta because she "chooses" to show off her butt or whatever. I think more vulnerable characters like reboot Lara, Quiet and Miranda shoud be allowed as well.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. A recent example would be the RE8 vamp lady. The same people who criticize sexualization and fanservice are fine with her being a really curvy chick in a tight dress just because they headcanon her as a domme or something.

I really wish we could get a decent TR:II remake. That Venice level set is still my favorite in the entire series.
They could really add some awesome stuff with modern tech to pad out the game. Hell, the TRLE games have.
