This ain't the first time political BS ruined something and it won't be the last - too bad this is The Simpsons we're talking about: something almost everyone in Western Animation tries and mostly fails to emulate, while also not realizing it isn't funny anymore (and wasn't all that funny to begin with...), nor shouldn't be emulated in the first place.
