For real though, what happened in Hannibal was far worse than maybe the most abusive relationships out there. I don't know what the fuck they're doing bringing up the gay guy who made the show, but it's not at all points in shipping's favor. If anything, it's points against.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about it. People were already getting shanked over stupid shit. The information age just made us more aware. Granted more of these weirdos can now find each other to validate their nonsense which isn't great

And let us take a moment to step back here and recognize that many of the people attacking Bryan Fuller for being pro-shipping seem to have no problem with the fact he made a show that arguably glorified a man THAT KILLS PEOPLE AND EATS THEM.

And maybe you girls should take another moment to step back and recognize that you're devoting all this time and effort to a relationship between fictional characters on a show that got cancelled years ago about a dude THAT KILLS PEOPLE AND EATS THEM.

Again, I wouldn't give a shit if they got off to the most over-the-top villain imaginable, the problem is that they do not extend this same grace to people who want to ship the good lady Star Wars character with the bad guy because apparently, they can tie politics to Star Wars but thinking for like two minutes about how they're gushing over a wealthy, highly-educated white man literally eating people is just too much to ask for them.

Cant wait for an essay on cannibalism as praxis.

Funny, I thought they canceled Hannibal at the time because he dared to kill a Chinese woman and eat her. I guess they couldn't stay away forever because gay buttsex. Just like right now how they're canceling J.K. Rowling (for realsies this time) but still are coming up with excuses to keep reading the only book series they seem to read.

I remember that controversy on Tumblr (and the actress not understanding why everybody was so mad, she seemed absolutely giddy to have her character eaten and thought it was funny), but I don't think that's why the show got cancelled. I think it was just low ratings, as usual.

Well, yeah, but I meant in the tumblr sense, "X is problematic and that means nobody can enjoy it!" I should've been clearer, sorry. But yeah, I also remember that the actress insisted that she'd be cooked up as a Chinese dish and was disappointed that he didn't. That still didn't stop them from claiming it was "wrong" at the time though.

And really this shows just how limited their attention span is. And where Asians rank on the oppression totem pole. Maybe if he ate a black lesbian (doesn't have to be a transwoman) they'd still be calling it problematic and unable to enjoy their gay buttsex guilt-free.
