I did a bit of digging and I figure that Patreon is curtailing porn accounts because of classic financial skittishness re: porn in general. An apparently common scam is to sign up for a porn site, rip everything, then file for fraud and get the money back so I'd give solid odds that Patreon is trying to cover their own ass more than shit on porn creators.

So i guess TMS is starting a new campaign.Porn lives matter!!!
Don't you know? Porn is harmful and dangerous to women, because they don't know any better. Unless said porn is of trans lesbians, then it's not harmful to any women

Well, it's not harmful to any women, because "trans lesbians" are deranged men.

Patreon whores said:
We know people who would be homeless if it wasn’t for making porn on Patreon – and it’s not a small number.

:story:

So, I take it the white part of the always-spinning "What is porn to women?" wheel that says "Empowering" is currently facing us?

And once we all agree that it is, the black part that says "Harmful and degrading" will come round, and we'll be wrong again, even though we did what they wanted in the first place.....

Like many people, I was first actively exposed to Fox in her first Transformers movie (although she had been in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queenbefore), and I was smitten. I was fifteen, and I thought she was the most gorgeous woman in the world, next to my girl Angelina Jolie (someone Fox was often compared to).

Just as an aside, why does every shitty article written for these awful sites have a second paragraph invariably written in first person? Am I supposed to resonate with tales of Princess Weekes' adolescence? Every one of these articles/blog entries has an accounting of the author's bonafides, as though anyone gives a fuck.

Was Elements of Style taken over by cunts or something?

>shamelessly admits to objectifying pretty women like Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie
>pitches a fit when others do it

>???????

At least be honest about your girl lust, you hypocritical "author".

You know, I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for Taylor Swift, it's like everything she does, she's got a bunch of intersectional feminists and SJWs sinking their claws into her. (God, TMS is about as obsessed with her as they are with Trump.) How dare Taylor not want to preach their talking points and keep a distance from politics. Especially when TMS and the commentators were acting all nice and supportive of her when some guy sexually harassed her and she called him on it.

Also, every man, even the trans ones are guilty of the sexual harassment fiascos going on these days. Since it's your masculinity and not doing exactly what these SJWs want them to. Also, check out the comments section.

Dear Cis Men: You’ve been uncomfortable & pained & nervous & scared for what? A MONTH? I. Do. Not. Feel. Bad. For. You. Call me when it’s been most of recorded time. THEN we get to “skip this part.” Until then? This moment is happening. Let it seep in. Learn from it.

ADDENDUM: That means you, too, queer men, men of color, and men at other intersections. The areas in which you don’t have privilege do not absolve you of having work to do. Because guess what? There are women at those intersections, too, and we don’t have the luxury of putting sexism on the backburner while tending to those other struggles.
Ahem

Dear fat middle class woman,
I know that's a little rude but if since we're going by the superficial indications of privalidge but I'm happy to play ball. I have no idea what you're on about with this Cis male anxiety is coming from but I suspect it's to do with some neurotic cretin is upset that various Holywood scumbags are up for the grill, something which is so alien to the average persons life as to be like becoming anxious due to penguins fallen prey to killer whales, I suspect you're too stupid to realize that a number of women are implied to be involved on some level (possibly instigators in facts) since the problem is institutional but we're talking about someone whose part of the status quo you rally against, prefering to lash out at the average 'cis' male rather than consider if the power dynamics of holywood are inherantly corrupt. Frankly I'm not even vaguely anxious since I don't sexually harass anyone and don't work in holywood. Personally I'm more worried about actual problems which relate to me.
I suppose you might be refering to the metoo hastag which is really funny considering how many guys put it up.
But on subject you have literally no idea what it's like to be a male do you? I genuinly doubt you have much of a frame of referance for other women if you think this in anyway relates to day-to-day mysogeny. Do you even know what it's like to actually suffer? You're "fuck you" attitude implies a desire for vengance rather than justice. Your friends are either doormats or saints, I'd have ignored you and added you to the list of people I don't listen too.

Yours faithfully,
cis male

PS-: You’ve been uncomfortable & pained & nervous & tired after getting of those stairs or any physical excersion for what? 30 seconds? I. Do. Not. Feel. Bad. For. You. Call me when you have to worry about where your next meal is coming from. THEN we get to “skip this part.” Until then? This moment is happening. Let it seep in. Learn from it.

LMAO!

Taylor Swift is silent about an issue! How dare she! Reeeeeee!
Why the fuck would I ask taylor swifts advice on anything apart from "how to be a pop star"?

So there's been some dustup in the GI Joe fandom over IDW Joe writer Aubrey Sitterson being a bit of a jackass. Naturally, The Mary Sue has to weigh in:

IDW Actually Considering Taking Action Against Writer ... Based on the Whims of Right-Wing Harassers

The TL;DR is that Aubrey Sitterson a) stated on Twitter than anyone who is not a New Yorker isn't really mourning 9/11, b) changed an established GI Joe character into a fat black woman for ... some reason, and c) has a history of accusing people of being racists, bigots and/or Trump supporters. His comics have, up to this point, been received with a heartfelt "meh" by the GI Joe fandom. After the 9/11 thing, though, a leading Joe fansite announced that they wouldn't advertise IDW products until Sitterson was let go from the book, and gave a statement to BleedingCool to that effect.

I'm sensing that the person writing this article knows pretty much nothing about GI Joe. Diversity hasn't been a problem in the team since ... ever.

Anyway, IDW issued a statement about not agreeing with what Sitterson said, and the Mary Sue's writer is terribly torn up about it. I guess this means the terrorists win. The rest of the article devolves into the author angsting about being in New York on 9/11 and claims that those who weren't are "taking part in the grief out of some kind of national obligation."

This ought to be interesting to follow. GI Joe fans are serious about their autism.

His latest GI Joe comic got cancelled.

How much of a sped do you have to be to hire someone openly antagonistic towards Republicans to write your jingoistic comic book?

You do know that IDW is a giant corporate lolcow, don't you?

Not entirely. They've done some pretty good things; it's a shame these licensed comics are taking the shine off of some of the really good things they've put out.
