One of the sillier aspects of so-called "third wave" feminism is where they pretend actual physical differences between the sexes actually don't exist at all, or that they're somehow completely unimportant.

For instance, the fact that male humans actually have vastly superior upper body strength somehow isn't a fact. Or that this might actually be relevant to real tasks in the real world, like firefighting or combat. Nope, let's just ignore it.

It's not like women don't have physical advantages. They literally live seven years longer! If I had a choice, I'd trade that upper body strength for another seven years of life. Maybe that's female privilege?

Does this site ever, ever talk about the fact that women might actually have advantages in a modern society that men don't share? You know, privilege?
 
They try to spin it as "benevolent sexism," AnOminous. Saying that it's sexism that women aren't expected to perform as well or whatever and that it's the "patriarchy backfiring" because men live shorter lives. They twist everything to match their insane ideology. Same can be said of pretty much anyone with extremist ideologies, of twisting facts to fit theory instead of changing theories to fit facts.

As for third-wave shit and biology, it's frustrating. Between them and all the SJWs, it's like they don't understand that biology exists and it does play an important role in one's life. Hard sciences, including biology, are not just some social construct that are arbitrary and that changing them means somehow changing people. Same can be said for certain parts of the social sciences, like parts of psychology- no matter how much you try, you can't change the biological fact that small infants do not understand object permanence or that children below a certain age cannot logically reason. Their brains aren't developed enough to comprehend such things.

It was brought to my attention that a bunch of feminists were having a go at the Oxford English Dictionary because they used "Rabid feminist" as an example of the word "Rabid" (the irony of this situation was of course lost on them). Now these days a story like that doesn't surprise me, but then I saw The Mary Sue had been mentioned in an article on the subject, and to my amazement, they were defending the OED.

When even The Mary Sue says you're being retarded, you know you've failed hard. :story:
 
Final Fantasy 7 is sexist because Tifa's boobs are big, bad things happen to women and Arieth (sp) isn't the main character. And this is from the site that defended FF X-2 as a positive example with Yuna's new costume being a chance to express herself.

Well, obviously male players have height / strength privilege which gives them an unfair advantage because the rules of the game and the basketball courts were created by men. To compensate, all male players will start the game with their feet bound together while the female squad will start with a 23 points advantage because wage gap and 77 cents on the dollar, shitlord.

So I finally saw TFA last night, and other than the obvious reasons why this shit is retarded even by TMS standards, it seemed to me that Kylo's issues aren't so much because he's a butthurt MRA white male goobergater musoggyness but moreso because he'd been groomed since he was a child by Snoke to align with the dark side. Something that I've heard the novels get into more detail with a kinda sorta comes off as a metaphor for child sex abuse. Considering TMS is supposed to be all about crusading against sexual violence and child abuse (to the point of deeming Game of Thrones forbidden), wouldn't mocking a character who was a victim of those kinda things not exactly be kosher?

I mean I'm not really a Star Wars fan so correct me if I'm full of bullshit, but still.
 
Actually a lot of Kylo Ren's character may be able to be explained by the fact that his father never touched his butthole.

Duh, how could I forget. Women on the other hand can be sexually abused by everything from a dude spreading his legs to someone saying mean words on the internet.

Speaking of TMS and its reactions to media featuring sexual abuse, am I wrong in wondering why a site that constantly complains about rape in female characters backstories loves the shit outta Jessica Jones and Fury Road? Is it because they can schlick to more in those than Game of Thrones or some shit?

I've never understood that argument. Do these people go up to women with large busts irl and shriek at them for promoting an unrealistic view of women?
 
Their "relistic" view of women is blue hair and 400 pounds of beautifulness.

If I had to guess, it's probably because in both Jessica Jones and Fury Road, the victim ends up killing their rapist. Whereas In Game of Thrones, there is little to no method of revenge. Don't get me wrong, I like all three a lot but I would say that Game of Thrones protrays rape and it's aftermath a lot more realistically than the other two. Power fantasies are awesome but they're fantasies for a reason.
