>saying we aren't already there
Well, now it's more like, "Two guys saying "hi" means they're trans and want to be women so they can have hot lesbian sex together"

Bitches don't seem to to be familiar with the lore of Star Wars... At all.
If they want to see "queer representations" then they should either pick up some of the expanded universe content or stick with Fanfiction.Net
But that's not mainstream and is mainly for the Star Wars fans, not in the spotlight that outsiders would know.Heh, if that's the case, they should go play The Old Republic and slog it all the way to the Shadow of Revan expansion. Then they'll get all the self-insert queer representation in Star Wars that their heart desires.
I found an even stupider article praising a little girl who is proud of farting as a role model for women and girls.
Half the commenters seem to think the article is stupid.I found an even stupider article praising a little girl who is proud of farting as a role model for women and girls.
But when a man farts he's literally raping everyone around him and enjoys doing so, no matter what he says.I found an even stupider article praising a little girl who is proud of farting as a role model for women and girls.
I think people need to stop thinking that movies and shows OWE them the canon relationship they have in their own head canon and instead accept what's given to them canon and on screen. Just because we're fans doesn't mean we get to dictate how it goes.
You know, I did an Arts Degree so I'm used to untangling knotty and complex pieces of writing, but I still can't for the life of me figure out exactly what the fuck's being said here. Please helpThis was a really great post someone made in response to an article where the site were still going on about having a Finn/Poe reationship in The Force Awakens.
Now the responses...
- No fandom dictates, sure, but smart creators give the audience what it wants... sorry, what the creators _perceive_ the audience wants. That's the telling (non-)act that keeps any non-droid queer relationship out of Star Wars.
- I don't think anyone here feels like they're owed this specific relationship. Just that it would be nice to see mainstream lgbtq characters, and that if any franchise could get away with doing that without taking too big a hit, it would be Star Wars.
(that said, from a storytelling perspective, rather than a shipper perspective, I still feel we're a bit "owed" Steve/Bucky, because holy crap, they're basically writing everything about them as a tragic romance, complete with old WWII torchsongs, and I have Feelings about set-ups that never intend to payoff.)
They sure hate hetero relationships as if any mention of one (especially in kids' shows) is evil brainwashing unless they ok it. I'm all for gay relationships in a cartoon (Jeff's two moms in Clarence did it well), but it can be done without demonizing another side.https://archive.is/oB5Ls
They were just cheering for censorship, I mean localization of SFV just a few weeks ago.

Censorship is bad, obviously, but it's really hypocritical the way they only condemn it when it's censorship of something they like.Don't get me wrong; I hate censorship and CN UK's really stupid for doing that but The Mary Sue and the SU fandom suddenly caring about censorship when their alien lesbians are threatened is pretty telling.

Comic Book Guy: Last night's Itchy & Scratchy was, without a doubt, the worst episode ever. Rest assured that I was on internet within minutes registering my disgust throughout the world.
Bart Simpson: Hey, I know it wasn't great, but what right do you have to complain?
Comic Book Guy: As a loyal viewer, I feel they owe me.
Bart Simpson: What? They've given you thousands of hours of entertainment for free. What could they possibly owe you? I mean, if anything, you owe them.
Comic Book Guy: Worst episode ever.
My guess is with the first one: "Fandom is what dictates the story. If the creator is smart, (s)he will do what the audience wants, not what (s)he thinks the audience wants. And that's why we haven't had something other the supposingly homoerotic tension that is C-3PO and R2D2's relationship." With the second one: "Uh, no, we're not being entitled. We just think it's time for the mainstream Star Wars stuff to do something like that. But I still think we're "owed" a cannon Steve and Bucky relationship because of the homoerotic tension."You know, I did an Arts Degree so I'm used to untangling knotty and complex pieces of writing, but I still can't for the life of me figure out exactly what the fuck's being said here. I'm not even a Warhammer expert, but isn't the setting supposed to be, uh, "crapsack"? As in, not really meant to represent a morally ideal world? So why try to make the gender politics ideal?http://www.themarysue.com/warhammer-40k-gender-representation/
I used to play 40k when I was 14 so as anyone who is even remotely aware of the setting knows how totally absurd this for so many different reasons it could write an article double this ones length, not in the least because the reasons the sisters arnt as popular model wise is because they don't sell as well. Also praising the Dark Eldar's gender representation while bitching about their costumes (another sex negative femminist, what a surprise) is pretty hilarious when you read what they're actually like.
