You can't chase out nigger weebs. They're still around. They just don't don't want to show their faces.
Locals went from having more niggers than a plantation to being weird pasty wigger zoomers that jerk off to ash blossom’s feet.
the tranny janny will always kneel to globohomo corpos while calling themselves "leftists" lmao
Troons are consoomers to the core. It’s funny how so many people will call themselves communists but are haplessly addicted to cardboard and plastic crack.
I dunno about that...

And if you REALLY want to go down the rabbit hole...

Coons are making up a huge demographic of weebs now.

Speaking of retarded content creators, these Magic finance channels are some of the most retarded people I've seen in a while. At least Rudy was funny, but the people who follow in his footsteps are probably literal mouth breathers. Look at this shit:

The big 3 TCGs all have this problem where midwits want to try to get rich off of them. After the TCG craze revival in 2021, you have people who are desperate to try to get rich off of the games when all they do is at best clog up the queue for grading services and at worst are trying to spike the price for any specific cards, reserve list or not.

Rudy, as bad as he is with some stuff, at least his plan was to create an actual business selling cardboard, whereas all of these weirdos just want to make twenty bucks off of some retarded card flip that takes far too much effort. That's what I think annoys me about it so much, it's always this elaborate plan with almost no pay off even if it works out.

God forbid people just play the game right?

It’s indicative of the inherent greed in the community. It’s why people were desperately trying to chase the one ring card. It’s wanting to make up for the loss of money, lack of returns and piles of bulk no one wants.
God forbid people just play the game right?
Can’t have that when there’s money to be made off the secondary market.

I recently went to a regional MTG convention event, and I am sad to report that the troon problem at events is getting out of hand.

It used to be a few isolated weirdos for years, the kind of autistic life failures you might expect. Maybe one in a 100 people or less. Over the past year there has been a population explosion. I tried to make an informal count, and it was around 10% of the attendees.

It's just disgusting to behold.

Haven't had that issue yet here, but I don't go too many tournaments and the ones I do go to now are just EDH with my wife. This country really needs a good tabletop game convention. I've been to two and one of those I had to report to the WotC because they lied about the prizes at the tournament that WotC sponsored so the store running the con was trying to steal from them. Pot was about $4k total. Then all people got for first place was half a box of cards, second place was a half of what was left, and third and fourth cut what was remaining.

I hate black bordered cards that reference the actual MTG card game. 4th wall breaks are for silver bordered cards. I hate this fucking game bros.

Why do they have to make this shit so ugly? If you're going to put in nigger representation for DIE bux why don't you at least make them look like a human being and not a fucking racist caricature?

BLACKED.COM Thalia was at least not a complete goblin, but this? lmao

I really really wish this shit didn't exist at all, universes beyond and un-set legality have made me completely disinterested in playing the game ever again.

That and the overabundance of new product and specifically shit geared towards EDH.

Small update but mtg pro and content creator Brian Coval (Normally an apolitical respectable gent) has either taken a sponsorship from Trans Lifeline, or has been hoodwinked by them and promoted them out of the goodness of his own heart. Shame really. Lifeline cringe
On closer inspection to make this post, it seems he's not the only one. ThrabenU, Lords of Limited and a bunch of other nobodies are also part of the "Take the initiative for Trans Lifeline" program. Sad to see well meaning people promote a fraudulent charity under the guise of "Helping".

Well apparently WotC hired an actual trans person who worked on the Dr. Who product (at least) so... I mean it's not surprising.

It sounds like WotC extorted them to take those sponsorships, or else WotC would blacklist them permanently or get them cancelled.

yep. this was a nail in the coffin for me

i started playing on and off back in 4th edition or ice age....i was in and out, quit for a while, came back in 2010, left again, and back and forth. when i came back around Khans Block, i noticed a lot of the community talking this diversity nonsense.. they/them, black characers whatever. i ended up quitting again (not because of that)

i came back again recently and the same diversity crap was there and it became like this big virtue signal fest. and then the sheer amount of cards...i was seeing Warhammer cards? ok, thats kind of cool....but then DnD cards with weird mechanics that amde no sense....unsets with more weird mechanics...there were masters sets all over the place, standard sets were just like...ripping off other franchises and real life things. then they started doing transformers and godzilla cards....but they were like special, so it didnt effect me much

my favorite MtG sets were ones where there were original locales. Dominaria, Mirrodin, etc. it got kind of gay when it became "this is the harry potter set, this is the norse mythology set, this is the india set, this is the egypt set)....now theyre doing a fairy tale set? it all got to be too much and seemed kind of uncreative.

also, they got rid of core sets again, which blows, those were my favorite (kind of a hot take, i just liked the simplicity of the cards and flexibility of strategies)

so i go into reddit and see...an applejack card. from my little pony. a doctor who set. lord of the rings set. it was just too much to keep up with and seemed like a money grab and corporatized. it didnt feel creative anymore

it seems to me, what they are gearing up for is using the mtg "system" as the game, and just slapping any old thing they can liscense onto the cards.

i have a powered cube that i keep in the closet if i ever feel like coming back to the game and wanna draft a little bit...but im just out

BoshnRoll, ThrabenU, and The Epic Storm all do a weekly podcast together for vintage/legacy called Eternal Glory so I imagine that they have some degree of networking when it comes to who they take sponsorship money from (Moxfield.com for instance sponsors all three, as does Cardhoarder for MTGO deck rental services.) Even though I don't actively play anymore I'll watch their content because it's usually better legacy/modern/vintage/pauper (eternal format) content. Out of the three of them the only one that didn't post a translifeline plug for their latest video was TES. I wonder why that is. Out of the three I'd say that Brian and Phil are for sure more the soy type but I think that TLL probably just got their Q3 money in order and decided on their advertising budget for Q4 and spent it on mtg creators partially.
For reference, these guys make exceedingly decent money (Bryant Cook, the TES guy is a web designer in addition to frontmanning TES, Phil is a latin teacher who's now making enough that he doesn't have to work full time anymore and MTG can be his main job, and Coval is in much the same boat)
Patreon's
bosh - $3.5k/mo (a)
Thraben - $1,000/mo (a)
TES.com (patreon) - $816/mo (a - note that they do run an active store and the patreon benefits for them are more like, you get a deal on token packs or some other value kinda like Alphainvestments does
the podcast itself pulls in about 600 per month

Out of the three TES monetizes the shit out of every video with a midroll ad after every round, Brian does basically the same now, and Phil has a Moxfield ad and a cardhoarder ad usually.

Notably Brian is the only one of the three to list that he is, in fact, a man, in his twitter bio:

I mean, shits just like any other ad, I just skip it. I don't really care if the content creator is a soyboy, I'm not giving them my money to play. As long as they play the game well, have interesting lists, and their voice isn't so fucking grating that I have to mute them to watch their content (ThrabenU is close,) I'm willing to watch the content.

I started watching bosh back when UB ninjas was becoming a menace in legacy and he was one of the pioneers of the list, still worth a watch if you're interested in legacy format mtg at all. His Dark Bant control series was good too:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
