People have been duped into the whole "But these ones are Sikhs. They're the good ones and are just like you and me" All because they've seen Sikhs giving out low nutrition curry slop to homeless people or giving away free bottles of water. "Oh gee, Sikhs are so selfless and charitable. We need more of them" But if they saw a Christian or Catholic organization doing the same charitable thing, they'd be like "eww evil Western religion. What's their ulterior motive?"
At face value Sikhism is pretty cool.
A martial religion preaching radical equality. A great guru created the Khalsa warrior group with a strict code of honor, and then requested to join it as an equal. Every man is named after a lion (Singh) and carries a dagger to defend himself and family. These warriors held back Islamic conquerors for a century and then became the greatest soldiers of the British empire.
Under the surface it falls apart. The Sikhs abandoned their gurus teachings and created a brand new caste system. The Khalsa is supposed to be a cool warrior group, but they have no standards so there is alot of pot bellied fat people in it, and there is no honor so you will often see scammers wearing Turbans with no repercussions. In western countries Sikhs rally around the Kirpan (dagger) as a matter of religious freedom, but then do nothing when a Sikh tard rages and stabs somebody while drunk. There is no compromise - they should just be allowed to carry around a knife in their eyes.
