The Taj Mahal is a nice building but it's just a tourist trap really. Foreigners pay $10 to get in while Indians get in free. Last time I went there I walked around the outside and found that more interesting.

It's just another example of jeets being uplifted far beyond their station. They've never had some sort of transitionary period where they've made their own games like East Asia and Eastern Europe have, they've just immediately been selected to enjeetify the Western AAA industry because they're cheap, which is why the industry turned to shit. Not only are the games bug-ridden messes due to jeetcode but they look and play like mindless by-the-numbers slop too. Since jeets never really had their own gaming industry, they've never developed their own sense and style of game development and game design.

Yes, I agree that’s a huge problem. Everyone is incentivizing the short term outcomes politicians face reelection every few years. Companies don’t care beyond the next 18 months at best, and there’s still the persuasive belief that humans are all the same and we’re just economic units to be moved around the board. So they see India with 1.6 billion people and it’s poor and backwards and think that it’s due to lack of opportunity rather than something deeper. They see it as a place where if they just invest, then they’ll be an economic miracle they want to get in on the ground floor like it’s Amazon stock.
