Listen, it's not just the "Progressive Cred™" for the Syrupean retards living in their major urban centers, it's also the fact that "number must go up", because "number not going up" upsets Boomers almost as much as butter chicken upset that Syrupean hockey guy's guts during the Olympics. I think I already explained it here (although I sort of have the memory of a retarded goldfish, so I don't remember for sure), but mass importation of foreigners that get a ton of money via gov't benefits, outright crime, and probably fraudulent employment behavior are a net positive to property values, because they're willing to throw huge offers at Boomers, who take the offers to the bank and get their HELOC increased so they can go on another all-inclusive Caribbean cruise with Tom Jones as the star attraction, and setting up their desperately-poor kids and grandkids to get the unpaid debt in their wills.

Boomers don't care about their kids, or their country, as far as I can tell, they care about keeping their straw stuck into the OAS, personal pensions, and HELOCs for as long as possible, with zero interest in leaving anything of value to future generations, so they'll vote for whatever makes the line go up. The foreigners don't care about the country they're helping destroy, because they're being given every opportunity to economically strip-mine western nations through benefits and all kinds of fraud, and if shit goes sideways they're just going to move back to their shithole-of-origin and be marginally richer than the rest of the genetic detritus they grew up around, The gov't sure as fuck doesn't care, because they're going to print money and expand the public sector until the wheels fall off, and the smart ones will have exit strategies that don't involve "becoming Hallowe'en decorations until the lightposts are cannibalized for scrap metal."

Pagan is a blanket term. It comes from Rome's christianization and originally referred to the more rural people who held onto their old traditions and beliefs as the people in the city became christian. There's a big difference between European religions and Hindu filth. The term pagan is improper in modern day, and more used as a pejorative than anything else.
