I’m pretty sure they said it doesn’t. All they said is that you don’t start at level 1.Do we know if your save file will carry over into the other FF7?
I mean... it has to. Right??Do we know if your save file will carry over into the other FF7?
AHHHH I HATE THE ANTICHRIST I HATE THE FUTURE I HATE VIDEO GAMESI’m pretty sure they said it doesn’t. All they said is that you don’t start at level 1.
It's not all bad. You do get two summons if you have save files for 7 and intergrade.AHHHH I HATE THE ANTICHRIST I HATE THE FUTURE I HATE VIDEO GAMES
That whole sneaking into the house thing Cloud did was just tedious though. And he didn't even get any pizza, which makes the whole thing immeasurably worse. You'd think Jesse could have asked for a few slices for a friend that couldn't make it or something. The only good part of Jessie is that it's the only other time we get to go to the top of Midgar. Jessie herself was cringe as all hell and I found her annoying.
I think people's perception of XV has soured for pretty much everyone at this point. Not sure if XVI will get there, but it definitely didn't blow anybody's socks off.Idk if it’s hated. Just not the savior many hoped for. Like XV.
I mean XV failed to be the promised savior as wellI think people's perception of XV has soured for pretty much everyone at this point. Not sure if XVI will get there, but it definitely didn't blow anybody's socks off.
The main difference is that SquareEnix shilled for that game hard, basically trying to declare it the second coming of FFXVII. And it blew back in their face. XVI never had that kind of shilling, and it just kind of landed with a thud.I mean XV failed to be the promised savior as well
Yeah it split the fanbase pretty hard, so plenty of people hate it. While I love the game myself, I can definitely understand why people hate it when it changed the gameplay so much, and you’ll be watching more than playing.People hate XVI?
I don't think people hate it, but there's a fair amount of people that played it (myself included) that felt like it wasn't "complete" in terms of story, combat, or fun. It's very flash but not all that deep or memorable.People hate XVI?
Japan REALLY fucking hates it, lots of people hate it because it isnt an RPG and very few people were asking for a mediocre devil may cry.People hate XVI?
There were a lot of legitimate problems with XV, in terms of gameplay, world building, and storytelling; some of it was due to the game being rushed, some of it was due to the constant restarts in development and changes to the development team and overall vision, and some of it was intentional, as former director Hajime Tabata has made apparent every time he opens his mouth regarding the game (seriously, its like every time he tried to justify shit, he just made things worse, and XV is single handedly responsible for the man losing whatever goodwill he had left with the fanbase). SquareEnix eventually just abandoned the game and cancelled the remaining major DLCs, turning them into a novel instead, and I am almost certain that game ultimately lost money for SquareEnix and they just blamed their former western studios to cover it up.XV was also disliked for being different,
I'm aware, I'm not saying that was the only complaint people had or the only problem with the game, it had plenty of issues. What I am saying is that outside the "I don't like this because it's different" crowd, many were disappointed in general that they threw so much of what it could've been out the window and bungled its development on top of that. The remaining DLC getting cancelled was the final nail in XV's coffin, no one cares about the fix-it novel they made for the ending. I think XVI gets hate not for being different, but for being bland, safe, and unfun at times. For me it felt too much like FFXIV in terms of the feel (the music, the setting, the focus on the primals, etc). Most of the hate XVI gets is because of how different it is. XV was also disliked for being different, but I feel it was more of a letdown to people because of all its wasted potential and the fact they rushed it.
