Pretty much. I never thought I'd see the day when the majority of video game articles seem to be written by and for people who either don't like/don't play games, and feel the need to constantly attack those who do. I'm sure it gets them lots of SJW type readers though.
 
Honestly, Cracked and Buzzfeed are objectively some of the worst fucking websites online today. They're both horrible content generators with shitty non-writers and reek of [citation needed]. I think it really started going downhill for Cracked when they started being more aggressive about seeking out random people to write for them. Every couple of months now, I see a "Do you want to write for Cracked? WRITE FOR US!!" article cropping up on their site. I don't recall this being as heavily advertised like 5 years ago.

Unfortunately, if you let the people who believe they're excellent writers (see: Tumblr) create content for your site, this is what happens. Back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, you had to have some sort of college or work experience in journalism/writing to write articles, even for a comedy site.

Also, all of Cracked's video content is fucking awful. None of these people have a good camera presence.
 
I've heard that when you write for cracked, whatever you write gets "edited" by the top people there, which is apparently why no matter who the writer is, the articles always have the same general tone and writing style.

And hiring tumblrites as writers in the first place makes that easier for them, but it's like they insist on distilling the SJW bullshit for extra purity.

Seanbaby is about the only good writer on there, his articles and some of the "personal experience" interviews are pretty good, but sometimes even those get slanted by the writer.
 
Buzzfeed doesn't even write articles, they just put a list of sassy gifs and think that's all there is to it.

Occasionally, Buzzfeed will have an editoral-ish article on their website. The thing is, these articles aren't half bad. Sure, it isn't award winning journalism but they're decent and readable. Unfortunately, for every article like this, you get 500 SJW/90s nostalgia/ONLY X WILL UNDERSTAND bullshit on there.

So because Weird Al wrote a song about loving Mexican food, that's problematic. Just because he's white and the original song was done by a Hispanic. I'm sure even the original singer had less problems with the song than this guy does.

Funny thing is, most singers who've had songs of theirs spoofed by Weird Al like his parodies.

The author of this article doesn't seem to realize most of these movies are based on myths and ancient legends which is why things occur the way they do (back then monarchy was thought to be the work of God and all that).
