I always wonder what would happen if someone paid for one of the upper tiers on his patreon or one of the other places he accepts donations and gives a "meet the critic and do something" type incentive and brought up Chris, especially now, would he immediately dip or just give an abrupt "I hate that side of my family and really don't want to talk about them" answer or would actually get into it in a face to face conversation.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more from him tbh. I guess in a way that proves how genuine his hate is for Chris's side of the family. Normally you'd think some urbanite media leech would be all over this kind of shit, giving interviews to anyone who asks for one, posting stores about growing up with them, etc. But nope.

Slightly off topic but do you think the rest of the Weston family even care about what happened?
I know that some of Chris's relatives rescinded their invitation to let him stay with them, but is that because of what Chris did or because they just don't like Chris and Barb I wonder.

I’d get him shitfaced on tequila first. You know, build up to it organically. You don’t want to show up in a sonichu medallion screaming JULAAAY from across the bar. Have a few craft beers, talk obscure “films” and shitty, pretentious bosa nova music. Order in a few shots of top shelf, then be like “oh man, ever watch the documentary Gray Gardens?”.. and just let it flow from there.

which relative do you figure it was? i doubt cole would ever fly him to new york. seems like I'd be dave chandler who was kind of on good terms with bob, but i assume when he found out about the incest, he cancelled the offer.

Harriet and Tom (Barb's sister and brother-in-law) were the ones I heard who made the offer. They live in/around Richmond where Chris was arrested.
I'm guessing Harriet say "fuck everything about this" when she learned that Chris has a thing for older women, as opposed to getting kicked out for whatever reason she originally assumed.
I could see Chris showing up at Dave's practice and shouting about family, requiring the doctor set him up at a motel and getting him in touch with social services or whatever though.

Harriet and Tom had a relationship with Barb and Chris, but it was an arm’s length type of relationship. Regardless of whatever they think or thought of Barb, they—like just about anybody else—wouldn’t want to knowingly shelter her rapist. Presumably Cole is also troubled by these circumstances, and for as estranged as he is from Barb would still extend or offer some distant help if called upon.

I doubt this. Cole really did not want to be part of Barb's life, so he left as soon as he could. As any son, he would be concerned, but Cole just knew Barb would be Barb and would try do the same thing with him as she did with Chris: manipulating and guilt tripping him. It would be a miracle for Cole to go to Barb, even attend the upcoming trial.

He's more or less expressed open hate for Bob and was eagerly anticipating his death, and I've never seen him say anything good about any of his family. He even accused Barb of nearly accidentally shooting him.
