I've been meh on Gozyuger but Daizyujin with a cloak was really really fucking dank so it's got a lot of goodwill to burn through

Of all the anniversary Tokusatsu shows in 2006 that was released (Kamen Rider's 35th/Super Sentai's 30th/Ultraman's 40th), Ultraman Mebius is the only one that I liked overall. The veteran Ultramen and their human host cameos are treated with respect and Mebius as a rookie learns what an Ultraman is all about.I've been on a big Ultra series kick lately. I've worked my way through Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, and Nexus, and I just finished Neo Ultra Q.
Fun stuff. I've told Mebius is one I should definitely check out.
I think without General Shadow, I might have given up on Stronger after 13 episodes. He has some of Titan's smug attitude too but I'd root for that guy instead since he doesn't like using underhanded tactics and has some sense of honor. I remember reading Igadevil's page years ago regarding some of Shadow's origins about being a citizen of the Demon World where the Delza Army resides and that his head and his entire body had to be covered up due to the exposed nerves from all the remodeling that's done to him through the years of fighting. I even read a copy of Stronger's manga at one point in Japan and if my memory serves me right, Shadow instantly died the moment his transparent dome that covered his head was shattered.I don't think I ever bothered to rewatch Stronger with subs but even with my mong nihongos I dug the fuck out of Shadow and Titan's hijinks.
iirc extended lore makes them even cooler like Titan is contained magma, ten thousand times hotter than the sun and Shadow is some rando who would have died in war like, in 1800 or so but he really loved war and killing so he just kept going or The Great Leader powered him or something I forget
I just finished episode 26 of King-Ohger and I absolutely loved every minute of it! I especially loved Jeramie's speech at the end. I hope the new arc/second half will be just as good if not better.
One of the reasons why I love this series is that it gives me Final Fantasy 4 vibes.
I've enjoyed all of the team unlike Boonboomger series.
I'm at the halfway point of Den-O and it's really, really good. The writing is very strong and has very little filler (if they were willing to splurge on special effects this could have had the variety of Doctor Who), the suits and trains look cool, and there's lots of flashy action and pretty colours -- in other words, perfection. I don't know if I like Gun Form or Sword Form better. The ZeroLiner's flight form could have been better; it should have had wings rather than a propeller. Battling trains are very cool regardless, so I have little to complain about.
Ultraman Omega looks really cool. He's probably the best Ultra design, and the show looks interesting. It looks like a very happy show like Cosmos, so I look forward to that.
"The Visionary Behind Power Rangers" is too much of a stretch, isn't it? If Super Sentai never existed, can Haim actually make a Super Sentai-like show in the first place?Sp a 22-page comic is coming out on August 27th, the day before "National Power Rangers Day" (sigh), and it's about Haim Saban's life and how he was "The Visionary Behind Power Rangers".

I hope people go around forcibly removing copies of this comic from peoples' hands and like, replace them with copies of the Gorenger manga or something like that instead.
I wonder if this is related to Blue Water productions, they did a bunch of bios of people and would get weird licenses like the Logans Run bookSp a 22-page comic is coming out on August 27th, the day before "National Power Rangers Day" (sigh), and it's about Haim Saban's life and how he was "The Visionary Behind Power Rangers".

Reminds me of the Power Rangers episode of The Toys That Made Us which only skimmed over Kamen Rider and Super Sentai and was so lazy, they used fansubs for their footage.Sp a 22-page comic is coming out on August 27th, the day before "National Power Rangers Day" (sigh), and it's about Haim Saban's life and how he was "The Visionary Behind Power Rangers".
