I haven't been keeping up with the bot situation. Are they still gone, or did they start trickling back in? A point was made somewhere that Valve came up with a "solution" so quickly as to not tank the sales from this update and everything will likely go to shit again once crate gamba addicts get their fix.

Summer upddate is out. Also has a decent amount of non-cosmetic related changes and fixes. Not a ton but better than what we usually get

>Updated the materials for Your Eternal Reward to fix incorrect lighting under certain conditions (community fix from Lindon)
>Updated the material for The Buff Banner to add phong mask and missing material parameters (community fix from Lindon)
>Fixed broken LOD1 model for The B.A.S.E. Jumper backpack while deployed (community fix from Piogre)
My autism has been appeased.

Added ConVar "tf_hide_custom_decals" to allow clients to disable viewing custom decals on items
  • Added "Hide Custom Decals" checkbox to the Advanced Options dialog in the Miscellaneous Options category
Really Valve? Can't wait for every retarded streamer to check this.

If they're going to enable gay shit like this, give us the option to receive sprays in Valve servers on or off, too, rather than it just being forcefully disabled, besides ones you've already got cached.

I have been playing on pubs a lot the past week or two and I haven't seen ANY bots.

Oh yeah, some bug that allows you to use parts of the dev console to essentially have wallhacks in casual was put into a video that teaches you how to do it.

It's got to 100k views, so expect to see some odd behavior in game for the week plus this'll likely take to be patched.
From this Summer Update patch notes:
Fixed Workshop sv_cheats exploit
Contractors don't work on Valve time, they code instead of artistically jerking off.

Wasn't expecting that, the video just came out yesterday. I think it was known for longer than this video tries to claim, though.

they should have a no hats mod
these mods already exist

Fixtf2 community so buckbroken that they consider 10 new maps, 32 unusual effects, and a bug fix on a shitty weapon a victory.

what a faggot

shounic made a showcase of the new cosmetics, taunts and unushit effects

Only maps I really liked were Burghaussen, Megaton, Atom Smasher and Odyssey. The Tropical Crisis maps have a few balance problems, and the map color pallet is a bit too overwatchey for my taste. The V-script stuff in those maps is fun though. Applejack just fried my retina with all the color saturation. It just feels too bright to be in TF2.

Unusual effects are mostly garbage, and another excuse to add bloat/provide money for Emporium members.

The items aren't good either. Only a few stand out. The rest are either very similar to stuff we already have, or are terribly designed (The new Spy tuxedo comes to mind, with its retarded paint regions).

The truly good part of the update was all the bug fixes, community fixes and changes. Seeing old misc maps being added to the normal casual rotation was a good decision. I wish more of these were moved (Mannpower should be added to CTF, Degroot to CP, ect.....).

i'm a big fan of the new medieval map, seeing a bunch of heavies and demos punching and slashing at one another never gets old and it having multiple stages is very fun.
if valve was still based, the new pd map in the update would be the kind of thing they'd do themselves for half life 1's anniversary. where's the new hl1 SDK, valve? where is it?
