To be fair, they do make for fun villains; cool abilities and all that. Too bad they tend to be used either by edgelords, or BG3 fans who insist on "morally grey" characters. Or DMs who just really, really hate the idea of a genuinely heroic Paladin character and look for the slightest excuse/opportunity to break a player's oaths. Huge waste of potential, frankly.
5e players cannot understand morality, logic, narrative etc. it is amazing that they can put sentences together.

Halfling players should be thrown into the deepest darkest pits as I swear every halfling player I've seen online has some sort of lolicon/shotacon.
Just do what I do, and run your halflings as hobbits. I've never seen those sort of players cause I don't hang around with people *that* degenerate, but you'll only attract footfags with my approach.
LET THE DEAD SLEEP
BY ST CUTHBERT'S CUDGEL YOU WILL BE CORRECTED
>My players that one time discovering St.Cuthberts spooky, mist-covered island full of rehabilitated undead and that cuthbert is also kind of a skeleton

>there is a dragon magazine adventure where you go to london to retrieve st. Cuthberts cudgel from british museum. i find it hilarious beause it is in british museum and according to ad&d street thugs in london are lvl 5 monks lol. and 1 ticket for david bowie concert is 1cp.

After seeing just how fucked the community can get, I'm inclined to agree. Makes me feel like shit that me and my friend group tend to play 5e; in our defense, the local store doesn't have any other editions available, and we're all a bit short on cash currently, due to job issues.

Pretty accurate, although I'd expect more rogue levels with all the knoifs. I had a player get a cudgel from st. cuthbert but not the cudgel since he was a cleric of him at the time. Never considered the genius of sending them to London to get the real one. Maybe do the whole museum Night at the Museum style as a dungeon.

It had rogues as well, and gun rules, vehicle rules etc.
Pickpockets are lvl 10 thieves, urchins are lvl 1 to 4. Thugs are level 5 monks etc. Also freddie mercury and Doctor who is also made canon by the same adventure.

It's kind of like how all of Earth and specifically WW1, the Russian Civil War, and Rasputin are canon to Pathfinder because of one part of a PF1e adventure path.

Whether it's vengeance, succor, or simply helping people get through the day, there's always room for a Paladin in any vaguely-Good shaped adventuring party. The knightly aesthetic on top of that is also pretty good.
Yeah, and if you go Oath of Vengeance you've got the perfect excuse to act and dress like a Black Templar or Angel of Vengeance. Don't forget to make sure your plate mail has wings and shit all over it.

Aasimar race, and I think Conquest might be more appropriate for the whole "Douse the Flame of Hope" and "Strength Above All" tenets, plus C. Div for a big Fear bubble is super scary and really nice for chaff-clearing.

Though that's more Sergeant to the OoV's Assault Marine.

It's been in their adventure material for a long time that Earth is basically just another dimension that can be visited from Golarion via magic and stuff. One of my favorite bits where they shout this out is the final book of Strange Aeons, the Lovecraft-inspired Adventure Path, where you travel through Carcosa which consumes various cities across time and dimensions and there's a chunk of 19th century Paris which was consumed after a performance of The King in Yellow. Anymore, I have no love for Paizo as a gaming company, but I'll be damned if Erik Mona & James Jacobs didn't manage a good setting.

i dislike the setting as well but i respect the first edition somewhat.

But...I like Tieflings :(
A lot of people who play them are weirdos. I will grant you that.
Along with another race I shall not name...because there's too many fucking races that attract these fucking freaks of nature. I feel your pain, wanting to play something but it's unfortunately filled with degenerates. For me it's Dragonborn, thankfully I'm not a creature so it was a good time, even made the party cackle like hyenas at least once a session and ruin one of the BBEG's edgy bullshit (DM was cool though) encounter. Also, damn it I wish I had people to play Dark Sun with, price I pay for only being able to associate with normies in real life.

My nigger get some PDFs. I'll ask a friend and see if he can hit you up with a "Trove" link. Also hey didn't I see you in the Elder scrolls thread? Or was it the other one?
Anyway, anyone have any experience with Savage Worlds?

4E DARK SUN OR AD&D 2E DARKSUN? Both are based, love to play it.

Depends on the mood given how different those two are. There's also technically a 3E but that would take some explaining, a lot of what 3E was is entirely comprised of magazines which actually work, they act as the appropriate manuals, but there are other materials. Check this site out for example. And this one which they linked on the front page.

Not a fan of 3e tbh. ironically my first dark sun game was in 3.5. i was playing a water cleric called Hesus and i was searching for body of water to walk on. It is cringe but i was 13.
