Burger King- uh... Black Knight as an AT and RAY MK II as a costume is a surprise. Piranha Plant got me laughing. He's my main for sure!

I'm happy people got some stuff they want but there's also some people who got the rug slipped under them. I actually want Mach Rider in the Grinch leak to be somewhat real because a character who fights with a motorcycle gives so many moveset opportunities! Here's to fans of Isaac, Banjo, and Geno getting a treat of some form soon...

I don't see myself getting a Switch for a loooong time, so here's to also everyone enjoying the game when it releases!
 
Really disappointed that Grinch was wrong (and no trophies) but the game will still be great and glad Incineroar got in. Now hurry up and give G&W a fighter of the day reveal.

No it isn't. To be honest I've have never seen a developer so utterly throw his middle finger up at his own fanbase like this:

Outright deconfim wanted characters as assist trophies (Shadow, Isaac, Black Knight)
Show others as "spirits" (Shantae)
Show another as a freaking Mii costum (Ray Mk. III)
Show Spirits mode as not being Sub-space emissary and spend almost 20 MINUTES talking about it, while showing the most boring gameplay ever.
Show a GODDAMN PIRANHA plant as a playable character as a bitch slap to EVERY PERSON who wanted a character in the game.

I leave you to answer the question of whether or not Sakurai went too far with his trolling this time. As for me, I ain't buying a Switch for this.

We got Ridley and K. Rool like we wanted, as well as other fun characters for fan service. Everyone was wondering who the joke character would be, and I think Piranha Plant is a fun-looking character. Plus DLC is still on the way, and holy fuck it is way cheaper than it was last time.

Frankly I think this game looks amazing, sperging over one joke character is stupid. A lot of the fan requested characters aren't even relevant anymore anyway.

No one’s going to not buy this game because Edgy Sonic, shitty FE villain and Blond RPG protag #3109 didn’t get in lmao.

And no one’s gonna not buy it cuz some joke character got on. Sakurai didn’t put the shit in your pants, and he didn’t flip you off

I don't think any body who was going to get the game anyway is going to not buy over this direct. Or at least, I don't think enough will not buy it to warrant consideration. Whether or not you consider the Piranha plant's conclusion bad or not is going to vary from person to person. And talking about relevancy is kind of moot point when you have characters like Mr. Game and Watch.

Did I personally say I was mad? No. Nor did I say that people were going to boycott the game. I merely said i wasn't going to go run out an buy a Switch, which is my prerogative. You can do what you want.

I never said I was personally mad, mainly that I had never seen a developer do this, and I wasn't running out to buy a system for the game.

It looked like Melee's Adventure Mode "after" they showed the part at the end, and honestly they should have led with that, but they spent entirely too long talking about that mode in the most boring way possible.

God I hope the story mode isn't just "Everyone is dead, go to different stages to fight them and get them back" like the trailer suggested. I really liked the Subspace Emissary story so I'm gonna be really disappointed if this just ends up being a collect-a-thon. (EDIT: Also dear God I hope it isn't gonna be fully voice acted)

Personally, the roster is great enough as it is. Any other characters is just icing on the cake. I was surprised the Grinch Leak didn't turn out to be true with all it had going for it, but at least we got two more characters. Plus Incineroar was who I picked for Pokemon Sun, so kudos on them adding him to the game!

I look forward to the DLC characters and the next greatest fanfic of all time that will be the World of Light adventure mode.

Well, we are getting boss battles too, so there's that. But yeah, it does look like its just a collect-a-thon.
