Everyone that whines about assist trophies/"MY WAIFU ISN'T PLAYABLE FUCK YOU SAKURAI!" just proves that the assist trophy was the best thing ever added in Smash Bros. Period.

Also, the reason why smash tards don't appreciate the music is because they literally only care about whose playable and whose not. They are really THAT shallow.

I seen some Zero butthurt as well. I mean, if every damn Assist Trophy was made into a character, the cast list would go beyond mugen levels of whale carcass bloated. Smash fans just want so many characters and once those are added, they are still unhappy.

I love the music in Smash and I would be so happy to just listen to the music more than play the game itself.

I think I may said this. I know back in the Brawl Days. Sakurai wanted Quote and Pixel said no. Not sure, but I heard that was floating around.

I think it’s normal for people to want characters they love to be in smash (I hold out hope for Banjo and Kazooie to this day :heart-full:) but these people get so autistic over it. It’s a fucking game ffs.

I know a guy who claimed that, back during the Smash Ballot, that there was no way K. Rool didn’t win. He ranted on and on about how Bayonetta could not have been number one and how there was some grand conspiracy by Nintendo to keep him out and they lied about the numbers in the ballot. I wish I was kidding.

How'd he react to the news of K Rool being announced

Also Chad Rool>Virginnetta

Right now, it's the chads Simon and K. Rool vs. the virgin Ashley-loving pedos.
It feels good knowing this was going to be hilarious.

This guy spent more time crying about some worthless side character than he would have actually spent enjoying playing as them if they actually were confirmed.

It's like he has nothing in his life that's greater than some niche character being playable in a spinoff game; and I'm very concerned that's exactly what's happening. At this point, I'm borderline convinced this guy hasn't even played the Wario Ware games, because all he does is whine and moan that the character deserves to be in without actually explaining why or even mentioning how she's a worthwhile character to begin with.

I guess the same can be said about many Waluigifags

Found this on Reddit which found it on 4chan

Castlevania has a song called Bloody Tears. Might as well change it to Salty Tears with all that sodium I read through.

What the fuck would ashley even do anyways? what is so special about her
She's a TOTALLY COOL (read: edgy) preteen girl, perfect for pedophile fap material. That's literally the only reasons these spastics give a shit about.
They most likely have never played a WarioWare game, and would most likely hate them, because instead of being the edgy pedoshit of their dreams, it's actually something like this.
(On a side note, LOL the uploader is the guy responsible for that Smash Bros. fanfic that's longer than all 8 harry potter books combined.)

I don't even see any hint of ow the edge factor in Ashley, she looks like an stylized version of Chilindrina from El Chavo del Ocho with some looney tunes feeling in between.

Castlevania is already a very iconic IP so I don't think it was a cash grab because of the Netflix show. Maybe Konami is planning a new title and this is a push to get some extra exposure?

And I think they went with Simon and Richter because they're the most iconic and were in the most revered games in the series. Simon in 1, 2, and 4. Richter in Rondo of Blood and Symphony.

speaking of iconic, I once saw an interview with sakurai about how he chooses characters to get into smash bros, and I think it sheds some light as to how realistic of a chance every character has by default. I can't find the source and it was a while ago so take this with a grain of salt.

1. Is the character iconic or has had a significant impact on the videogame scene? cultural or otherwise? If yes, it's more likely to be added.

2. Does the character have something only they can do? A move or otherwise? If yes, it's more likely to be added.

3. are they a recurring character?(implying the series has to have more than 1 game) If yes, also more likely to be added.

4. Are the creators of said characters willing to be in smash? Obviously, if no, then it will won't happen.

5. Are there still lots of fans of the series? If yes, as always, it's more likely.

6. Main characters are preferred over side characters.

There are two more I thought was in the list, but with recent additions I think he may have backtracked on them.

possibly backtracked 1: How many others from the same series is in the game? The more there are, the less likely the new character is from being added.
(This rule was probably either eliminated entirely from his consideration or he doesn't apply it to fire emblem characters, as always, the rules aren't set in stone anyway)

possibly backtracked 2: does it make sense for the character to fight in smash?

the villager makes little sense, I think he was cut out of brawl for this reason. And later added back to newer smash games
and pacman, althrough he did have a game where he brawled with other people.

There were a few more but I flat out can not remember the rest. These were the ones that stuck out to me.

I believe simon belmont hit more of these than ashley does. And serves as a useful guide for predicting future smash characters.
When I wrote them down, it really seems like common sense, doesn't it?

What the fuck would ashley even do anyways? what is so special about her

See, that's what gets me. There is nothing notable or special sabout her. I like her design, but that's all that exists of her: her design and a couple basic character traits. She's a loli witch who makes potions and hexes and she has an imp/demon sidekick. That's it.

Like, she's not even relevent in the series she comes from. She appears between minigames when you play her specific category of minigames. She's only in like two games. She probably has a whopping 8 lines of dialogue between them, not including the song.

The only reason anyone know who she is, is because she had a catchy song in Smash Bros Brawl. Her popularity is based solely on lolicons just looking up the character and fapping to her concept art.

Ashley appeared in like six games actually, and the only stuff she does is just brewing potions, flying on a broom, casting spells on plants and maybe some other minor magic and that's it.

Apparently witch girls are popular in Japan, hence the surprise rise in popularity, but even then like I said if you take note of these attacks it's really not enough for a moveset, and like only one of them can be usable.

I don't even see any hint of ow the edge factor in Ashley, she looks like an stylized version of Chilindrina from El Chavo del Ocho with some looney tunes feeling in between.
I'm going to quote @ducktales4gameboy on this, because he explains what I mean perfectly.
You know that irritating persona that edgy teenage goth girls put on where they pretend they have magical powers and threaten people with them? Combine that with Wednesday Addams and a catchy themesong. She’s like the female tween analogue to Reaper from Overwatch.

Or I could just post the lyrics myself
CHORUS: Who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion?

ASHLEY: You'd better learn my name, 'cause I am--

CHORUS: ASH-LEY!

She knows the darkest spells and she brews the meanest potions

ASHLEY: You might be the ingredient I seek

CHORUS: Don't let yourself be fooled by her innocent demeanor

ASHLEY: You should be afraid of the great--

CHORUS: ASH-LEY!

She doesn't play with dolls and she never combs her hair

ASHLEY: Who has time for girly things like that?

ASHLEY: Eye of newt, I cast a hex on you

Grandma's wig, this will make you big
Kitten spit, soon your pants won't fit
Pantalones giganticus!
Oh, no! Not again!
CHORUS: She can rule the world and still finish all her homework

ASHLEY: Everyone knows I'm the greatest--

CHORUS: ASH-LEY!

You better watch your step, or she'll cast a spell on you

ASHLEY: I turned my teacher into a spoon

ASHLEY: I'm a slave to my spellbook, and yes it's true,

I don't have as many friends as you
But I think you're nice, and maybe we could be friends
And if you say "no", you're toast!
CHORUS: Who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion?

ASHLEY: You'd better learn my name 'cause I am--

CHORUS: ASH-LEY! Just remember this when you see her on the street

ASHLEY: I'm the cruelest girl you'll ever meet!

Reminder, if you ever want an obscure character you think should be in Smash because you have a mob of people who agree with you:

> Wanting Goku in Smash

You know, people who want Goku are the most interesting of the bunch to me, i mean, with people who want a somewhat obscure character like Ashley or Geno, you can tell at least some of them are sincere about their character being playable, despite how autistic they can react when said character is revealed to be an assist trophy or not being in the game at all, people who want stupid characters like Shrek, you can tell they're just fucking around and are just doing it for the memes, but people who want Goku..., i don't know, i just can't tell if they're serious or not, the idea of an anime/manga character in smash is laughable to say the least, but anime fans can be really autistic at times

What's even the origin of people wanting anime characters like Goku/Naruto in Smash anyway? Why do they even think it would make sense for them to reach Smash?
