I won't be surprised if he just gets time served and a fine, but I see no reason to give him such a light sentence considering his behavior throughout this case. Aside from the victim impact statement, I'm sure another factor in his sentence will be whether or not they've seen any of his online behavior where he smugly and cheerfully claims he killed their prosecutor or laughing about his conviction as if it's a complete joke in a video called HAHAHA I'M A CONVICT! He genuinely does deserve some actual punishment. "I just meant to toss the phone on the bed and it accidentally hit her" is a load of gooseshit. Think about how you would toss a smartphone on to a bed. You'd lightly toss it underhand. Now think about how hard you'd have to pitch a smartphone at someone that it caused a bruise. Tarl is about as credible as Nick Rekieta when talking about his case.
