The funniest thing to come out of the Free Keene crew was when Garret something or other (curly haired guy, got megarich off BTC) was doing his "robin hooding" (putting quarters in meters to prevent meter maids from giving tickets) and some meathead told him to stop harassing the meter maid and walk away. Garret parroted his words right back at him, causing the large guy to charge at him. Garret, with camera still in hand, turns around and sprints for about 10 seconds. It has the same energy as a low level character running from a giant in Skyrim. He then turns around and continues to tough talk the guy he just ran from. Exasperated in frustration, the other guy walks away and Garret's friend comes and meets him while walking his BMX bike as they cope about how they won the exchange. If I can find the vid, I'll edit it into this comment. It's likely lost to the sands of time though.

Added in edit: That Garrett character also got into it with Edward Snowden by recording his presentation against the rules of the venue, then sperged on Facebook over his rights to do so. That Garrett guy was a trip.

Especially among the /x/ types I honestly find it strange nobody comes to this conclusion.

Say in a hypothetical you perform the whole chaos magic crap, you cum while looking at a sigil or hold your breath for 5 minutes or whatever craziness they get up to and it pulls your brain hemispheres together to give you brief psi or what have you. Beliefs vary of course. But say you do some crazy crap like that and it actually works, you blow it off as coincidence and do it again and it again works. From there where one is in the state of "well, magic is real" they should be honestly scared. Because now that it's shown to work, they still don't know jack shit about how it's really working.

The method they were taught online involves a lot of assumptions many of which may be completely incorrect as there is no way of verifying them other than that the magic for some reason worked. There could be a hidden cost to casting this stuff, maybe it brings terrible luck upon the caster or gradually makes them into an insane lolcow with continued use (Sonichu medallions syndrome?). Maybe it might backfire and their "make this prick kill himself" spell ends up resulting in their own death via car accident? Or maybe they are damning their own soul by continued casting and will get the shittiest afterlife for abusing it in the limited time they have alive.

I think any rational person who gets sucked into this rabbit hole and has an affirmative experience with it will immediately be quitting magic out of fear of its potential consequences because they are absolutely playing the blind lab rat to this practice. Slight PL but in the past I once actually hung out with some people that happened to practice this stuff and when I asked them about their experiences with it, consistently it's the spells that bring unfortunate events onto their enemies that work and spells that attempt to better themselves always fall flat. That's not really a good sign for this magic to display. I think even if someone did get a spell with a positive effect to work, one must not forget the story of Faust.

There could be any number of reasons for why it "works", maybe the power of outrage powers their curse spells better than the power of wishing to be better to their bless spells, which isn't the right kind of energy for some reason? Or, maybe they're unknowingly contacting evil spirits (demons) that have a particular preference for what kind of requests they will consider. (The Chaos Magicians tend to get really pissed off when you suggest this last part)

In any event, if you think about this in any kind of logical manner regardless of personal belief, it doesn't make sense to be so reckless. Which is in line with how nutty the people that practice this nearly always are.

Religious people are capable of achieving altered states of consciousness through a sense of proximity (physical or symbolic) to the object or entity of worship.
This is probably normal, and an evolved and useful trait for social hominids, considering it is so widespread in humans.

But I highly doubt it cause he's still footing Sammie's living expenses. patiently waiting on the pregnancy announcement or will he make her drink the tea????

I am one of those spergs who has Evola on my bookshelf. My point was that he avoided my very simple and direct question, got up on his soapbox and waxed philosophically. My follow up was to bring him back to earth.
