Again with the vagueness. Everything is a virtual environment... do you mean a virtual machine? And if it's related with servers, why did you not answer the BSD and Linux questions? Or is it servers as in waitress? If you are hosting some sort of get together, you also need security but not of the cyber kind because you are very volatile people

Strangely, shortly after Tarl was released from jail the most recent time, my laptop no longer works. Its like the hard drive was wiped clean it doesnt even have a way to boot up. So no music from me for a while unless I make it on my phone like the broke bitch I am. I guess whatever was on my laptop nobody wanted me to share with the Po-lease.

If it doesn't boot up, it's not the hard-drive, maybe the motherboard or CMOS battery. If you access UEFI then it boots

If you can't even turn on the laptop, either power supply (usually CMOS or battery itself) or the motherboard is busted or not even reaching UEFI meaning that you have to send laptop to be "factory reset". Not booting into your OS can be hard-drive or someone erased it all

It turns on. But it has no way to boot up. It just cycles and asks me to press f4 and does nothing. Idc, honestly its not a priority right now unless my old-ass ps4 also konks out in which case? My youngest 2 will absolutely fuckin hate being here because their dad has them screen-trained.

Unlike other third parties I do not access other peoples' electronics without explicit permission.

Though there is another third party here that seems to have done so. I think others know who I refer to.

Seems like the bootloader itself, maybe that partition was deleted or damaged. Probably not even affecting the OS itself, just can't recognize. Not necessarily difficult to fix, you could just try booting something from a flashdrive or CD to check
