Man who thought that an episode where Tom Paris turns into a mutant and has babies with Janeway was a good idea? For what fucking purpose? Like The Child 2.0.
It was Braga's attempt to redo the disaster that is Genesis (TNG). This is post TNG Braga though, where most of his stuff sucked, so no wonder it was actually a bit worse. He'd try it yet again with Enterprise's "Extinction" an even more offensive and terrible version.
Course, I've always liked the idea that the Federation is actually a Communist military dictatorship compared to a Fascist one lol.
I always thought Starfleet was just the Federations NASA and armed forces, at least that's what TNG and DS9 say, not the government. Though I've seen people say it's "communist", "fascist", liberal, and everything else and in between.
Not because I like Andy Dick, but because I literally did a spit take when I saw him. I wasn't expecting it.
"Message In a Bottle" despite Andy Dick, it's actually one of Voyagers few good episodes.
I kind of warmed up to the idea of Vulcans acting superior. Leads to some pretty fun conflicts like in The Andorian Incident.
That episode is okay, until you think about it for five seconds and realize how retarded the situation is. The redesign of the Andorians are cool (originally was supposed to be Gorn, that would have been interesting). and it's one of the few things I like about Enterprise. Probably a reason why they're going to be in Discovery, since it's shown Andorians aren't hopelessly cheesy.
Though the Andorians are simply Enterprise's answer to the TNG era Klingons. Which is funny because the Klingons in Enterprise kind of are as well.
I just try to ignore the theme song.
It's superficial, but it is a terrible song, and the lyrics don't even fit Star Trek. Plus the imagery being all American centric just makes it more awkward.
The NX-01 Enterprise is really cold and unfriendly compared to the Enterprise NCC-1701 and the NCC-1701-D
Eh? I think even Startrek.com criticized the show for basically portraying this ship as a luxury liner that's even safer than the Enterprise D. At least the first two seasons make it seem like that. Another reason I can't stand watching them.
Like how Archer and his crew are wary of the transporter, the little questions they got from kids back on Earth, the way they kind of fumble through some diplomatic situations, it's just a few nice touches here and there.
Again, eh? They don't actually treat the transporter as a dangerous new thing outside of dialogue here and there that they're worried about it (which is no different from Dr McCoys apprehension toward it) and one scene in an early episode where a guy has leaves all over him due to being transported. The rest of the series makes it clear its safe, which makes many episodes mind boggling as they apparently forget they have it.
That children letter scene was just another way for them insert juvenile humor, as usual, which Enterprise embraced because it was written by retards.
And by fumble, Archer largely does things that would start interstellar wars like he's some white trash tourist getting into trouble. I don't see how any of this is a "nice touch"
