Rather than typical hot sauces I like stuff like chili chutney, chili marmalades, chili oil, that kind of stuff. It's either more fruity or more savory rather than an all-out assault on your tastebuds with heat and acidity.

This one is too expensive but actually tastes good. Everything from the Pepper Palace chain is decent and most stores let you taste it to see if it's worth a buy.

Has anyone tried making their own hot sauce at all?

I've made Bobby Flay's North Carolina BBQ twice and it was good with ribs and chicken. He has quite a few hot sauce recipes so will probably try making some others in the near future.

Says Bobby flay, yet you post some fat ass suburban white faggot. "GOD THIS IS SO GOOD"
Yeah you're right, I was looking for the recipe without the ribs and he had just copied the images.
I've fixed the link now, the BBQ sauce recipe is at the bottom of the page :)

Anyone have info on making hot sauce? I really want to make some pulled pork and homemade made sauce I think is gonna make it worth my time.

So my local grocery store, Jungle Jim's, put these on sale over the holidays as a plot, I think, to get people hooked because they're not bad for Aussie stuff. At least most of them, I haven't seen the Black Label or the Hot Honey yet and I particularly like the green and gold and the salami sauce, which is just a mustard based sauce with salami spices. They go well mixed with similar sauces too.

Carolina vinegar style BBQ sauce may be my gateway to hot sauces as I experimented with a bunch of recipes this past summer and really enjoyed one that was heavier on the apple cider vinegar and gave me a taste for something more than garlic+vinegar+mild-moderate heat.
Would you mind sharing your recipe on this? I've been trying for years to make a good vinegar based sauce but I can never get it quite right.
