It's not vague reasons - being a "for profit" company means they don't have to disclose shit to anyone about anything, hence why it's such a huge mystery as to how much money they make.
That said, looking at their website.
It's weirdly worded but they're keeping either a bunch of that money from Amazon or
all of the money from Amazon.
https://twitchtracker.com/gamesdonequick/subscribers - suggests they're sitting at roughly 17,000 subs - meaning they take in $42,000 a month (or more) for basically free. The amount of bits that get thrown around they apparently keep too (minus Amazon's 30% cut) plus whatever undisclosed fee the charity pays to GDQ for running the event(s). They also take tons and tons of sponsorship money which they also get to keep.
https://www.doctorswithoutborders.o...nts/Doctors_Without_Borders_2021_Form_990.pdf if someone financially literate wants to look - maybe it's the $333, 872 in the "SUMMER GAMES" section.
Staying "for profit" but working "with charities" is a grift they do not want to shine any kind of light on.
