To say that its sad that chat is sub-only, is quite the understatement.
But in the five minutes I've watched, there have been at least 150+ people subbing just to get access to chat.
What a sad day, to see what GDQ has turned into...
Last GDQ I completely forgot this thread existed so I missed all the discussion and shitposting with you all because I just lurked the Speedrunning thread in Community Watch. Anyways here's to hoping this year's AGDQ gives us a lot of cringey moments that GDQ can get taken down from YouTube via copyright claims.

When you have a grand total of 10 runs the first day, with most of them being an hour and a half or longer, it's off to a pretty slow start.
I took a glance over the lineup earlier, and I'm really... its lackluster with how many LONG runs there are that don't have the no-lifer times in the middle of the night.
I'm sorry, but watching Pokemon Black/White for almost four hours during peak afternoon hours is NOT interesting.
I enjoy glitch runs when the majority of the game remains "intact", but gets beaten in a manner that the developers did not intend. I can appreciate something like the "credits warp" glitch in Super Mario World from the standpoint of technical achievement, but it's not a very fun run to watch.

I have a soft spot for races, be it 100% or otherwise. DKC2 glitch race is wild from start to finish, but I haven't seen that in a long time(in GDQ) world.
I also take pleasure in just how much they broke battleblock theater when stamper was on the couch(via skype)
