Universal has a long-standing deal with HBO dating back to the days when cable was still relevant. That expires next year, at which point those rights will go to Peacock.

Traditional animation at this point is only used for nostalgia purposes like this movie and that Mary Poppins sequel nobody saw that came out a few years ago. With that one Disney had to re-hire old animators because nobody working at WDAS knew how to animate in 2D like they did anymore.

Yes and no, New Line was part of Time Warner when the Austin Powers movies were released, but the studio was technically separate from WB and the rest of the company overall. It wasn't until 2008 with the failure of The Golden Compass that WB took over New Line lock, stock and barrel.
Weirdly, 2008 was also the year DreamWorks ceased to be it's own independent studio.
