You're getting trashcans but you're right. If the boycott did nothing or everything, the answer from "analysts" would be the same. Boycott did absolutely nothing, though. Sony is in the "too big to die" category short of an absolute wildcard event that bankrupts them, and I need to check my watch, but...
The only boycotts that work are the organic ones. The Budlight boycott worked because no one wanted the beer that chose a deadeyed troon as a spokesperson. Bubba, Georgie, Terry and Lou don't want no stinkin' beer with a fag's face on it and Budlight was never a tasty beverage to begin with. Playstation has been bough and it might as well as be played. It is an apples to oranges situation.

Debra Wilson is always a mark of death to a game for me. I deeply resent that she's considered a "funny comedian" when her most popular/famous character on MadTV was -- wait for it -- Debra Wilson portraying an over-the-top obnoxious nigger (tall order, I know) who looks like Debra Wilson, being excessively obnoxious and pretending to be oblivious when her obnoxious misbehavior offends someone in the scene with her, leading to her classic catchphrase "whaddidido?" Repeated over and over. And the fucking monkeys they put into those "studio audiences" laughed and lapped it up like pigs at a trough. I hate her "comedy" and I hate MadTV for popularizing it and the "obnoxious-asshole-is-oblivious-to-annoying-everybody as comedy" shtick they popularized along with it.
In fairness she is the rare nigger who figured out how to get paid to say that to a camera. Most of the time it's deadbeats, shoplifters, domestic abusers and violent thugs shouting it to police body cameras as they get arrested and dragged into police cars.
Her presence is a guarantee I will find at least one (but likely more) character in the game who will be ugly, bug-eyed, and fucking obnoxious. She embraces that typecast and performs it admirably.

Xbox is making the right moves but I don’t expect DEI to go away from them. Indians run the company after all, and windows today sucks. Maybe Xbox can stand out under Asha’s leadership but don’t ever have any faith in modern gaming course correcting. Shits fried all over. You know, when they announced wolverine i went in with the mentality that it wasnt gonna be based on comics and it was gonna be its own take of the character. On that alone is fine, i dont expect everything marvel outside of the comics to follow said comics.
What they did to Wolverine in this game is massacre his character in such way that they basically made him a bordeline faggot. Mind you, actual wolverine, at least in the comics hes an asshole, impulsive and prone to violence but when he wants to, he can be a pillar of support and occasionally spits facts and/or wisdom. Yet somehow they made him a soycuck that is well mannered at all times, gets angry like a sissy and somehow they made him super nice. Basically a contrast to his character.
Is like if they made a Punisher movie, but Castle doesnt kill criminals and instead he talks to them a d tries to rehabilitate them. Again i dont mind takes on characters as long as their core essence remains intact. In case of wolverine they probably thought that "Wolverine is just violence" disregarding everything else and somehow probably thought that as long as hes violent when fighting people will like his character. Guess hows that working out?

Actually Nightcrawler was supposed to be NIGHTMARE'S kid, per Dave Cockrum's original pitch for the character as a Legion of the Super Hero character being a literal demon. Roger Stern however snitched to the people making the Dr Strange comic at the time, which led to them squashing that plan.
Nightcrawler being related to Mystique came when Claremont had to find a way to link her to the X-Men proper after moving her into the Xbooks. but it should be noted that Claremont, in this regard, could not keep his story straight as to WHO Destiny and Mystique's sodomy baby was as depending on who he talked to, the baby was either Nightcrawler or Rogue.

I actually LIKED Debra Wilson, as she was the glue in those early years of Mad TV that held the show together. And her parody of Whitney Houston embodied how toothless SNL was making fun of people and his Mad TV had way more bite in its comedy. But she's really let herself go physically and her video game work is very subpar.
The boycott/blackout did nothing
People screaming in the comments of every tweet, video and comment section IS actually hurting them. They'll swear blind it doesn't and that they don't care but you can see it in all the third parties pulling away and all the articles crying about how hard first party Devs worked
Third parties pay hundreds of thousands or even millions to get airtime on Playstation social media only for it to be buried in a sea of shit they had nothing to do with.
They don't want anything to do with this and you're going to see more and more peel away while also airing a decade of grievances
Sony decided to DMCA a mod for the PC port of TLOU 2 that aimed to recreate the 4v4 multiplayer mode from the first game.

On one hand, the DMCA justification seems to stem from the fact that the creator put a beta behind a Patreon paywall, which is 100% a valid reason for Sony to take issue with it. On the other hand, I think it's especially ironic considering TLOU 2 has no multiplayer, the servers for TLOU 1 were shut down years ago, the remake of TLOU 1 removed it entirely, and Sony already cancelled the online-only spinoff they announced a while back.
The weirdest part is the comments full of people outright shitting on the mod makers:
It's very likely that the reason why Sony has chosen to drop Blu-ray for Playstation at this time is that their Blu-ray patents are about to expire. Blu-ray was originally invented because Sony wished that they had sole monopolistic control over DVD (they agreed to share ownership to avoid the kind of format war that killed Betamax). They expected it would take over the world like DVD did, and are abandoning it now that it has no chance to make them kings of the world. This is likely also the reason why Xbox is not abandoning Blu-ray yet, it's going to become a better deal for them once they no longer need to pay a Sony license. There's a small possibility that Blu-ray becoming public domain by the end of 2029 will cause a resurgence in Blu-ray popularity.
