It seems like it'd be a pretty easy issue to patch, too. Just include an option for "hint chatter" or whatever. If the concern is accesibility, have it default to "I need adult supervision at all times"-mode, but let players decrease it to 50% frequency or just 0% with a "shut the fuck up"-mode. Maybe have the lowest setting require you to do a button combination for a hint, so you don't have to menu-hop in the middle of a fight or puzzle if you do get stuck on something. But I guess if they're going for the DSP-tier audience, their design ethos might be "We need to make sure people are playing our game the right way," so giving the player more options for their experience might be forbidden.
Or do it like Mario games do: if a player is like, really stuck on something, have like an optional Cosmic Norse Guide or whatever pop up. BUT, if the Guide complete the puzzle or boss, or whatever, they don't get to keep the experience they would've gained, or it's halved or something. Something to say, "you've seen how it works, now try beating it without cheating, dumb fuck."

This game goes out of its way to be as annoying and obnoxious as possible. I really enjoyed god of war from 2018, but Ragnarök might be the worst game I've played this year. The amount of hand holding is insulting. The game assumes everyone who plays it is as dumb as DSP.

if it's the default, which it seems to be (and consoletards have zero reason to check options first anyway, given in their mind console is "ready as is"), it's gonna piss off a lot of people first, which is never a good idea. if there's one thing to really get normies going is to belittle their intelligence and shove down help/advice down their throat they think they don't need. even worse, there doesn't seem to be grace period where you can stuff figure out, it's literally OI JUST SHOOT THE RED BARREL the second you see it.
they might bitch and moan how shit is "hard" and it takes too long to figure out, but everyone got fucking phones these days to look stuff up. in the end it's their choice first, then the solution.

Got two of them here, these were the ones most shared I think.

The frequency of the dialogue seems to be different for whoever plays but the one consistent thing is that they will never shut up.

Sony once again being a pioneer in the field of video games by creating the "Belittling Nagging Spouse Simulator".

This is one of the most patronizing things I've seen in quite a while. It is so counter to the spirit of what playing a video game means that it becomes an anti-video game.

It just seems to confirm that the solder was cracking. The lead free solder that was mandated by the EU in 2004? Xbox 360 suffered greatly from that. The environment suffered greatly from that because electronics became elctro-junk at a more rapid pace.

I mean, it was done like that on purpose tho

Honestly I don't get it. GOW 2018 was such a success not only in sales and stuff but it was also the poster child for "Single player games are still woth it". Why go down this route? Just to get journoscum points?
because they hired journoscum to work on the game
it's a game by journoscum for journoscum
Sony constantly hires game journos for their sheer writing talent you see, definitely not quid pro quo

PS5 retail software sales - Japan.png
Retail PS5 software sales in Japan were still under-performing for the console's 2nd year, in spite of Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon New Horizons both being given a boost through console pack bundles. It's worth to mention that:
-PS5 hardware stock is more readily available for the public there whereas Switch hardware has become hard to get in the past few weeks.
-some PS5 skus of new games are starting to get slightly higher numbers than their PS4 counterparts, such as God of War Ragnarok or Sonic Frontiers. But obviously, any new game that share a Switch release sell much better on the Nintendo hardware with most often a huge margin. For example:
[NSW] Sonic Frontiers (SEGA, 11/08/22) – 26,067 (New)
[PS5] Sonic Frontiers (SEGA, 11/08/22) – 11,111 (New)
[PS4] Sonic Frontiers (SEGA, 11/08/22) – 9,098 (New)
[NSW] Tactics Ogre: Reborn (Square Enix, 11/11/22) – 36,783 (New)
[PS4] Tactics Ogre: Reborn (Square Enix, 11/11/22) – 12,668 (New)
[PS5] Tactics Ogre: Reborn (Square Enix, 11/11/22) – 7,805 (New)
-Only multiplatform (Switch/PS4/PS5) and Switch titles will be released until the end of this year, among them are Samurai Maiden, FF Crisis Core, EDF4.1 for NSW, Hokuto no Ken Fit Boxing, River City Girls 1+2, etc. Callisto Protocol was refused a japanese release on the decision of the dev team, because of CERO's guidelines.

The discrepancy in sales numbers between the consoles is staggering. Statement, @Marissa Moira?

I never, ever thought I'd see that.

But gee golly jeepers, I thought the Switch was too underpowered, so therefore nobody wants one anymore and Nintendo is scrambling to make a Switch Pro, and this has been the case for the past 3 years now?

In fairness towards whatever retards were saying that, the Switch shortage there probably has more to do with Splatoon 3 than anything Sony did wrong, aside from not making appealing games for the JP market, I suppose.

And the causes of this reversal are ones we've stated time and time again: Sony is censoring the shit out of Japanese releases in particular, they've relocated to California with all of the commie politics to match, their game library is emptier than Aloy's vagina, etc. But there's one more factor we missed: the PS5 is the size of a fucking suitcase. The average apartment size in Japan is 65.9 square meters (709 sq. ft for us Muricans). For comparison's sake, the average US apartment size is 882 sq ft. It's no wonder people are choosing the slimmer Xbox Series S/X and the tablet-sized Switch over the ABSOLUTE UNIT of the Soystation 5.
