I'm not even surprised, I almost wished they made a Black lead (they're not below it as we saw with Angraboda in Ragnarok), just so we can clown on them further by saying Hollywood already did it better in 2003.

Never underestimate just how much people are willing to spend on cosmetics for female characters. This would make the game more popular in Japan alone.

Wasn't Dad of War supposed to be a trilogy? What happened to the third game, did Ragnarock sell that poorly?

You are an idiot. Wolverine sold 1.9 million copies, which is selling well and making money, it just isn't enough to meet the very high bar they've set for themselves by overspending. My point is not that these businesses are secretly doing very well, it's that wokeness is not the thing killing them because people buy woke products in mass quantities. Like I pointed out in very clear words, Wolverine would be almost profitable if it had a budget of $80M, which was considered to be an egregiously high budget 10 years ago.

I don't think either 2018 or Ragnarock had anything that goofy.

The last thing a God Of War game needs is a fucking Jar Jar Binks character.

So it was either in development hell or Ragnarock bombed, or both.

We cared in 2016 when the Norse saga was announced. We were hyped for a trilogy when GOW (2018) ended, then this happened:

Ok, surely Santa Monica will know how to finish the story properly. Then God Of Marvel: Ragnarok happened.
I've lost all interest for the newer games and whatever story they create. I'm just waiting for the trilogy remakes because I'm a fucking idiot.

This bitch is going to leave the afterlife somehow and will be following you around reminding you what to do over and over and over again in the next game after this. Keep in mind her death is what started the journey and character development of the first game of the new series. Her coming back undermines all the characters that changed because of her death.

Keep in mind they had so many different options where they could have taken the direction of this series. Kratos and Tyr could have gone to Egypt to meet Montu. They've hinted at the Egyptian pantheon multiple times. Or there's a theory that Athena could have brought back the greek gods as the Roman pantheon. Zeus would become Jupiter and begin exercising his will over descendants of the people Kratos freed in God of War 3. Which would give him a reason to go back.

Instead they're doing this. So that says more than anything that they don't really care about developing the characters they already have.
 
If Kratos' wife is such a badass that doesn't need no man(but rather a cube), why didn't they just conscript her and leave Kratos to be the house husband?
Better yet, if she is such a badass, why didn't she holdoff the attack on her village, surely she will prove in the game she's capable of fighting mere armed men, right?
See, this is why you rarely put damsel in distress(or a tragic victim) in protagonist role, especially if you're going to empower them. If Princess Peach was the one saving Mario, then people would ask why she couldn't get her lazy ass out of Bowser's Castle herself all these games.
