me when someone says sonic is bad
Oh god, I know that pink border.
That's pretty cool. Just the dumb type of thing to get me to play a game I otherwise wouldn't.Classic Sonic and Classic Tails confirmed for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania!

I'm confused, how would you know exactly where to go, in that game? The 2:55 mark basically had him running around in a giant circle when there was an shorter ramp to the goal.https://youtube.com/watch?v=_t-g5tOuS6o
'Technically' not a sonic game.
I guess you just explore?I'm confused, how would you know exactly where to go, in that game? The 2:55 mark basically had him running around in a giant circle when there was an shorter ramp to the goal.
Yeah, but I guess that I'm used to how linear most Sonic games are.I guess you just explore?
And I believe that's part of the problem when it comes to level design in 3D Sonics, even good ones like SA2 and Colors. Pretty much every level is a linear highway suspended in midair, where-as levels in SA1 like Ice Cap and Red Mountain feel a lot more grounded because of how wide, winding, and vertical they are. I feel like Sonic games could deal with a bit of bit of exploration. Imagine a game with an open world like Breath of the Wild, but you have Sonic's speed and agility at your disposal.Yeah, but I guess that I'm used to how linear most Sonic games are.
Maybe, but speedrunners skip 99% of the content to Breath of the Wild, making a mad dash straight to Hyrule Castle to fight the final boss. Despite this, nobody thinks that the game would be better off without the open world structure.Technically, a wide open sandbox could work for Sonic. But then it could devolve into people running past the fun parts to get a massive time bonus or it'll be a little bit on the easy side on account of how you can avoid a challenging area simply by picking another route.
Unless, of course, the true ending is gated by hiding the magic gems in places where you're less likely to travel to. Plus, it'll be an missed opportunity to have the blue blur running around this giant open field without any sort of branching levels.
Well, they made an isometric Sonic game that was more of maze, back in the day; so it shouldn't be that hard to screw it up.Maybe, but speedrunners skip 99% of the content to Breath of the Wild, making a mad dash straight to Hyrule Castle to fight the final boss. Despite this, nobody thinks that the game would be better off without the open world structure.
The real challenge would be getting a competent team at the helm so that it doesn't end up a half-baked mess.
Leave it to Sega to break something that wasn't broken to begin with.Day one bugs from the new Colors port.
It's mostly texture, audio, and UI issues.
Also don't remember the game crashing on the Wii.
This comment pretty much sums up how I feel about this "remaster".Might as well add this video to the discussion.

Sonic Colors Ultimate is Pathetic
Sonic Colors Ultimate is, unfortunately, not the Christmas Miracle we were all anticipating. There are some... issues with it, to say the least.*Review code ...youtube.com

Some of them deserve it for the consumer mentally really. My condolences to all Sonic fans, I'm genuinely convinced there's some evil curse placed on this franchise
