It was so good, they added a bunch of them in Sonic Adventure, including the cut songs.Plus, it has the best soundtrack of the 16-bit era.

Tourist moment.Unless for some inane reason the games pretend that humans no longer exist from now on.
I meant new games starting from Frontiers.ourist moment.
The games do use humans it really is only Forces that has the explicit "WHERE THE FUCK IS GUN" world buildin
This one is a remake with a few new things, and most of those characters already existed. For example, "Shadow Generations": Has Maria, GUN, Gerald, Abe, etc...
I wouldn't consider her a human since she's an AI. She's in an interesting position, as she kinda became a friend-enemy of sorts to Sonic, but Eggman won't let her disobey him, so I dunno what will be done with her.mention Sage in frontiers)
I wonder if the Islanders term will be officially used from now on. As for that new chick, I agree, she'll likely show up in the next Sonic 3d game which will release next year... But until that info is confirmed, we got nothing.Tails Tube has shown Humans as well saying that Mobians are "Islanders" and humans are mainlanders and that, mainly from unleashed, GUN and that new human professor girl we were all lead to believe was going to be huge from the constant teasing, (even teased in Sonic 3 movie).
WARNING: 'tism ahead. It seems so, as I believe they haven't had a name for the critters since Adventure 1. Or hell, the first games. Sonic's world was always meant to be Earth with animal people and made-up places, but the Japanese branch cared so little about the story and/or talked so little with the American one, that the latter had to make up stuff that had to be retconned by the Japs. The funny part is that eventually Team Sonic kind of agreed, as while they didn't like the idea of the world being a postapoc hellhole with Mobians being the result of nuclear war or something like that... The Sonic OVA of the 90s IS post-apoc Earth, and the games' world is littered with ruins of previous civilizations.
The Shadow Gens part is a Remake and not only the Sonic Gen's part? What? This one is a remake with a few new things, and most of those characters already existed.
An AI that is human in nearly all aspects and wants to be the real daughter of her human father. Now you are just trying to be semantic about this, which is wild considering all your points being wrong.I wouldn't consider her a human since she's an AI.
Sega of America correctly recalibrated, for sake of his popularity, Sonic to be a "90s" thing in terms of coolness (not just because it was 1990 lol), but Sonic's intended world-building and visuals suddenly make sense, IMO, looking at the tail end of the 1980s and especially Japanese pop culture before "the 90s" everywhere set in in late 1991. And imagine if it STAYED THAT WAY like we saw in Sonic 1/Sonic CD/early-ass official material the way Super Mario's world, aesthetics, "feel" has always been recognizable since SMB1 in 1985. That full-of-casual and easily accessible fantasy, arcade-esque, colorfully psychedelic world.
Aaaah, if only....
You talk about making sense, and your quote of mine has typos. Heh.The Shadow Gens part is a Remake and not only the Sonic Gen's part? What?
Brother if you are going to respond please ensure you make more sense.
"Most those characters existed"
- They are not only acknowledged but also story relevant. Which is much more than anything that IDW is doing with humans.
- Just because a character existed before doesn't mean that their inclusion into the plot/game means nothing. What?
See, that would actually be interesting and would make sense because it was a human that destroyed the world on more than one occasion and briefly conquered it. It may just be one guy, but you could argue the Islanders would be reasonably biased sense they are often targeted specifically by him. And to add intrigue, the Humans could point out the only reason why Eggman is still around is because Sonic just keeps letting him live despite there being no good reason to at this point. There already been hints that characters are starting to get a little pissed with Sonic for this very reason and would fit pretty well into the story. That Islanders are xenophobic and they don't like anyone who's not of their kind around?
And yet, the fucking platypus gets unceremoniously killed offThere already been hints that characters are starting to get a little pissed with Sonic for this very reason and would fit pretty well into the story
It would be interesting indeed, as it would allow Mobians to interact with other people and write about interesting themes. Station Square had both species and no-one seemed to mind. As for Eggman, he doesn't discriminate, as seen in Station Square again in SA1.See, that would actually be interesting and would make sense because it was a human that destroyed the world on more than one occasion and briefly conquered it. He might be back, as there's a serious lack of villains. And yet, the fucking platypus gets unceremoniously killed off
Cue the shitty anniversary game coming out on the Switch 2 in 10 months from now.So apparently next year is Sonic's 35th Anniversary. They already got Calendars and Books for pre-order regarding it

Well, they already fucked up Sonic Colors with the "remake"Cue the shitty anniversary game coming out on the Switch 2 in 10 months from now.
Ian can whine about the mandates all he wants, but IDW would NOT make it very far if it was allowed to write the game cast like its shitty OCs, and the disconnect between the way those two groups of characters are written is probably good, since it shows exactly why those mandates are their in the first place when they introduce a new character then immediately go into them having issues with their parents or something.I also wouldn't be too scared because of the now-proven-to-be-completely-justified SEGA MANDATES for the comics/media portrayals of Sonic's characters. Everyone now knows that without those mandates, they would have Sonic be crying like a bitch constantly like Archie Sonic did, Tails be gay, Sonic openly saying trans rights, etc...
All those people that have said that the mandates are bad due to not allowing Sonic to be Out of Character constantly have been routinely btfo on the release of every issue of IDW.
How so? What's there to mess up?Well, they already fucked up Sonic Colors with the "remake"
Because of money grabbing purposes, duh. They reminded us how superficial thier love for thier the fans is by fucking over Christian Whitehead and co's genesis game portjobs with Sonic Origins
I think these changes were made due to the woke mandates (heh). The Japanese script is identical to the OG one, supposedly, and while Amy's toned down in the first cutscenes, apparently her dialogue ingame is the same, so most of those were lazy edits to remove the edge. They let Ian Flynn take a shit over the already non-existant story of Sonic Generations, which showed how superficial his writing is and largely got memoryholed
A port of Shadow the Edgeheg with the same "modern sensibilities".What else could they possibly do this time that could top any of those beyond maybe making a bad Unleashed remake with Flynn's grubby mits on it?
TBF I think IDW Sonic wouldn't last long if it had any Western competition, which it hasn't so far. Funny how the issues set in the classic era are better due to not having to deal with bullshit OCs. Oh, and said OCs come out as whiny when the majority of the main cast are orphans, used to Eggman destroying everything every other day, and Tails had his home firebombed and his adoptive friends likely killed and so on.Ian can whine about the mandates all he wants, but IDW would NOT make it very far if it was allowed to write the game cast like its shitty OCs, and the disconnect between the way those two groups of characters are written is probably good, since it shows exactly why those mandates are their in the first place when they introduce a new character then immediately go into them having issues with their parents or something.
How that turned out? The pacing in the Wii version was ass, compared to the DS versionWell, they already fucked up Sonic Colors with the "
Which backfired, at least twice in Link's case.In comparison, Nintendo finally allowed, almost at gunpoint, for Link, Mario and Luigi to play dress-up in some of the latest games.
How so? What's there to mess up?
did you forget the horrible state it launched in dispite being a remake of a Wii game, among the chnages they made to the visuals becasuse they were too lazy to do it themselves and outsourced it?How that turned out? The pacing in the Wii version was ass, compared to the DS version
I've heard some stuff about it, but this is something that I've never actually bought.did you forget the horrible state it launched in dispite being a remake of a Wii game, among the chnages they made to the visuals becasuse they were too lazy to do it themselves and outsourced it?
Those seizure glitches will never not be funny to me. How do you fuck up that badly?did you forget the horrible state it launched in dispite being a remake of a Wii game, among the chnages they made to the visuals becasuse they were too lazy to do it themselves and outsourced it?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=PX7AB_2AL5E(It was even worse on the Switch because the 30FPS Wii game is still 30FPS dispite the Switch being stronger than the Wii,)

The most they did to fix it was just release some patches that only fixed the most egregious shit and called it a day, leaving it to be fixed by modders doing the job for them just like Bethesda and modern Pokemon games.
