This is kind of a weird complaint, but I am so sick of Sonic Team's music composer's obsession with the snare drums from Sonic 1. It's been a constant ever since Sonic 4, where every time they do something "Retro," it's always those fucking snares. There were other drums samples on the fucking Genesis, you know? Including the Sonic games? Yet they act like it's the only one that exists.

Say what you will about Knuckles Chaotix, but the drum instrument they used for that game is top fucking notch

This game was cheaper than I thought.

Same initial weakness as the Egg Fortress

Seriously, Wonder will absolutely bury this game.

It's not even the original sample, it's an extra-compressed version of it:

I think people forget that Wonder will also cost $60. The early Steam reviews (all 100 of them) seem to agree that it's mediocre, and they are especially angry by the use of Denuvo and the Epic Games integration. I think people were hoping for a glorious return into the fun retro era of Sonic. They got an overpriced, underwhelming release instead.

What cruel god have I pissed off to be continuously disappointed with every launch made by Sonic Team? Why the fuck would a STEAM GAME not only require an Epic Games Account for online play, but auto-install the Epic Games Store onto your PC upon launch?

What the fuck was going through Sonic Team's head on that decision? Why is it that every time they regain the good will of the gaming audience, they have to skullfuck that goodwill into the dirt? Sonic already has a reputation for being hit-or-miss on quality, the last thing they should do is piss off their audience as well.

It's Sonic Team and Sega we're talking about. Sonic Team kicks people in the nards while Sega hard punches them in the face, both at the same time to make sure nobody gets what people are expecting.
