That's good. I found it to be somewhere in the middle, mostly because there are some elements (like Master King's trial) that clearly didn't get enough time in the oven. They weren't dealbreakers though and I eventually got past them, just more frustrating in the moment.
Anyone have any advice for the Master King trial? This DLC has been very challenging compared to the base game, but this one actually made me set the game down and go to something else because I felt like I was gonna have an aneurysm trying to beat it. It's just so insanely strict.

Quick cyloop is essential as you do extra damage when they're tied up. As for basic tactics, you can get a lot of mileage out of the stomp as it's stupidly overpowered. When you're up against the Knight, you can skip his shield surfing phase by punching the shield once or twice and then immediately hitting one of the bumpers to shift around to his head. Funnily enough, this is essential against the final boss but I'll let you discover why on your own.

Thanks for the tips. I tried doing the quick cyloop and stomp tricks to save time, but guess I just need to git gud again. I set the game down for a while after I beat the base game a month ago, so remembering some of the mechanics kind of threw me off a bit. I just end up wasting too much time on the 1st Titan to really keep going after, and the perfect parry stuff isn't really helping things much either, especially with the 2nd.

If you set the difficulty to easy you get a few more frames on the perfect parry. It helps, though don't expect miracles. There's nothing for doing it on higher difficulties either so you're not missing out. It's still balls hard regardless.

It also doesn't help that the perfect parry system isn't very well implemented when applied to existing boss fights. [ESPECIALLY Wyvern] The timing is somewhat off for perfect parries because the parry window doesn't always sync with the animations, so you'll find yourself using trial and error to figure out where each parry window is. The only existing fight I think actually has all its parry windows synced properly is Knight, so he's way eaiser to beat than the other titans as long as you have enough rings by the time you get to him. [It also helps that Knight is extremely vulnerable to cyloops, I don't remember him even counterattacking in the second phase like the other titans can.]

Switch to easy and Stomp like a motherfucker.

Seriously, you want to only do Punch Punch Stop as a combo. Occasionally throw in the “ring of spindashes” in if you need to recenter yourself on the boss, but keep the short combo going no matter what.

so, jumping into Frontiers. Kronos is completed. Honestly, kinda fun so far, although part of that might be the mods I'm using (nothing too crazy, just updating the physics/model/title screen). Also, HOLY SHIT UNBEATABLE GOES SO DAMN HARD.

Wait till you hear the second titan theme. That guy is driving me nuts on the final trial in the dlc but god that theme is incredible. Gives me the same hype-tier chills as a lot of the boss themes from Metal Gear Rising did.

The instrumentals for the Titan themes were added to the latest OST. Definitely recommend giving them a listen.

apparently., the game leaked early and someone on twitch was playing the entire game.

heard the first half of the game is ok while the other half is bad. there some ugly OC in the game that look like they dont belong there.

So like any other Sonic game since Adventure?

I don't like how that character turns into like a sawblade or whatever...kinda weird.

It seems Sonic team didn't get the memo that nobody wanted to play as the wisps... and instead made the spikes wisp an entire lizard character.

Honestly the first character looks kinda cute I like them but that dragon looks so out of place, like it doesn't look like a sonic character and more something out of Spyro, which is jarring since there's already been a dragon in the series and why they didn't base it off of that except smaller and more of a classic sonic design is beyond me
