I've played through some (half?) of the game and it does that thing where the player character uses they/them pronouns and everyone else immediately knows and accepts this without needing to ask because the game is too much of a pussy to just ask if the player is male or female.

Also at one point, the player can offer to pretend to be Blaze's spouse and she only declines because of the player's personality and unknown background - not gender - so I guess Blaze is confirmed to be bisexual now.

Unless I missed something, the character isn't "they/them" they are just you. They didn't want to put in the extra effort to code in a gender system when that shit really doesn't matter. It wouldn't have changed anything other than a few words, and would have been completely pointless. The pronoun shit has gotten out of hand, I fully agree, but this is not an example of that. The words they and them aren't just a gender thing. REEEEing about something that a lot of games have been doing for years isn't going to stop trans people from grooming children, and the visual novel not asking if you want the character to have a penis or a vagina isn't going to turn the orphanage into a tranny cult. You are very much reading way too deep into a simple little joke, and anyone who takes that joke as a sexuality confirmation is a retard.

Gender isn't always important to the plot of something, and game devs would rather not waste time implementing that shit just to get bitched at by retards who were pissed that they didn't get to be a rðe/ðim gendered character.

I keep seeing this copypasta show up from some autist or a group of Autists who are concerned about Amy’s direction as a character and lack of panties. It’s one of the few times I’ve seen people go to bat for SOJ when it comes to the direction of Sonic.

i mean, it's not wrong. There's countless examples regarding women characters getting the carpet-munching tough girl attitude make-over when they are presented to american audiences. How is that the same as just avoiding making gendered options in the first place? Like I said, its always been a thing, even before the tranny shit. and like Nauseated Courgi said, it barely ever comes up. You are pissed that the dev's decided to not put themselves in a position where they would have to shovel actual tranny shit in the game, therefor, it cant be pushing that shit since it never even acknowledges it in the first place. By using they/them for the half a handful of times your character isn't referred to by the name you gave them, they don't have to make different sprites (because if they didn't, you would still be pissed that the female version of the character is literally just the male/current version, which looks like a guy), they don't have to change the few lines that have a pronoun for your character, and they don't have to deal with the other bullshit that comes along with the retards (like you) that get mad that there "isn't enough gender options". If having characters in a silly 2 hour visual novel say "they told me" instead of "he/she told me" really makes you this mad, then wow you're sad (and so very very mad).
