It's probably valued in the negative because of the amount of effort it would take to upgrade it to anything remotely modern. When it gives up the ghost probably nobody will have the ability or money to return it to functionality.

Jeffrey has already purchased Xenforo. I expect the solution will be migrating user data to new software and keeping the old forums as a read only archive. That suggestion was put to Lowtax time and time again and the majority of those who made comments were in favour of it.

I really like how SA users use the phrase "that's not an insult, that's a fucking slur!". Like in an attempt to be a mother hen and tripping right out of the gate.

This and the other Lowtax thread has helped me learn a lot about Lowtax, but seems like we don't know much about Jeffrey other than him having enough Bitcoin bux to buy the forums.

This is easy to shit on him from 2020, but back before Google became the ad-serving giant of the internet it was very difficult to make a website self sustaining in the post dot-com bubble period. SA's upfront account cost and various nickle-and-diming for services stem from this problem. At that time period 4chan was running invasive porn pop-up ads because moot was so desperate for money. Hell, its even difficult to today to keep a site in the black, we just saw Zerohedge and some other site get cancelled by the woke crowd and had their Google ad revenue severed for inane reasons.

Lowtax hates women in that he is entirely self-centered and doesn't do anything he doesn't want to. So if she wants to buy flowers he'll say flowers are stupid and a waste of money and they'll die in a few days etc. But then he'll buy himself a big dumb sculpture bust of Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, ironically, or something similar. Ashlii's big fight with Rich was over her watching dumb Kung-Fu movies with him, but him being unwilling to watch normie-tier reality TV dogshit like 90 Day Fiancee.

I think it’s cute that Jeffrey thinks he’ll actually take possession of the site. Richard is going to get angry at how challenging (for him) it will be to get bitcoin into cash. He will get even angrier when the price of bitcoin will fluctuate “LOL GRANDMA, ITS $149,500 INSTEAD OF $150,000!” and will demand Jeffrey make up the difference. That assumes Lowtax isn’t passed out on a major opiate bender before anything gets turned over.

I think now is the only time in SA's history that a migration to xenforo is possible. Before there was always a cadre of users that were staunchly opposed. By erasing post histories they wouldn't be able to police wrong think and that's unacceptable.

Jeffrey was at a bank arranging something to do with buying SA, so I'd take the speculation that he's paying for it in bitcoin with a grain of salt.

Unless Jeffrey gets the “keys” to the forum first, if he makes a wire transfer or a check to Lowtax first, good luck getting the forums.
