And now it seems also to be "If I'm paying money to post here, I expect it to be a safe space!" And the mods are all too happy to comply.

I've known about SA since about '02, and been a member almost 10 years, but I'm almost afraid to upgrade my account or post anything because the second I hurt someone's feefees, there goes my av, title, etc.

Also I've noticed that now at least 3 whiny sjw types on there have names within one letter of mine and I'd hate to be mistaken for them. Kinda wanting to change my name. But I imagine that's not free.

Jesus christ, is almost every single probation in that list for being mean to liberals? I can scantly remember an era when SA was known for being a place where no person or demographic was safe from being shit on. It's like it caught the most severe case of collective troll's remorse ever charted.

I'm wading through the GBS thread in QCS. The new attitude seems to be that anyone who makes snarky comments about safe spaces, hug boxes and SJWs isn't someone they want posting on their board.

There also seems to be a plan to use the front page to drive membership of the forum. I assume they're going to purge it first because it hasn't been funny in years and the old, funny stuff might hurt someone's feelings.

Reminds me of when Aatrek got outed as a pedo and GBS got basically turned loose to do whatever and actually be entertaining for a bit. It was pretty instantly made abundantly clear that nobody was fond of the troons and SJWS robocops declaring SA their hugbox. There was a good thread along the lines of "Can we stop throwing around the slur CIS?" And others too, raising legitimate issues about SA's "protected classes" being given excessive privilege and allowed to run rampant, and it seemed like anyone posting a sane opinion in them got disappeared real quick once "order" got restored.

It boggles my mind why a site billing itself as a comedy site has decided to exclusively cater to those who despise comedy in all its forms because muh feels.

But then, Cracked also exists so...

(Also it was goddamn beautiful when that one troon felt like scoring some oppression points so he searched the word "tranny", then jumped right in and started chimping about bigot this, and transphobe that. But the stupid fucker didn't realize he was in the car forum shrieking at people discussing transmissions and they tore his ass apart.)

If you ever go through some of the great old threads the forum had you'll notice that just about everyone who made those threads great got banned.

Maybe Lowtax has enough money or other sources of income where he doesn't have to care about the forums anymore. That's all I can think of for why he keeps putting the site into the hands of some of the unfunniest, autistic fucks around.

Abe was one of the worst for that. Fucker would always just try so hard and be so unfunny. While he did have his moments, it seemed like he took it personal and would get jealous of anyone being funny. Like they were upstaging him or something, so he'd just run them off.
 
I used to lurk the forums when they were actually decent. The last good thing I saw was either the Gary Busey photoshop thread or the Sharks/Dinosaurs/Explosions thread. After that, it became boring as hell so I left. Seeing this thread, I'm glad I did.

I loved the "E/N Comics" threads, where good cartoonists would turn whiny ass e/n tales into hilarious works of art, and "Photoshop Truck Nutz onto WWII German Artillery" which was just amazing.

There's a monetary incentive to ban people as well.
Anyone who gets banned already paid @Lowtax his ten shekels.
The only way to milk the goon cows for more money is to ban them and hope they'll register again.

At that point, you're just filtering and selectively choosing the shittiest, worst posters, because nobody who isn't an utter cuck would be banned from a forum and then actually pay to be abused more.
