There's been a bit of GBS drama today. OP is a MtF troon who asked goons for help some years ago when they were homeless. I don't recall them from then but I think it was before they trooned out.
Threads related to their illness have now been hidden, but the short version is that they were diagnosed with and treated for lymphoma in 2020. Treatment was successful and they went into remission. They claimed to have a relapse in 2021, but where it gets really sketchy is when they posted a "help me get through December" thread in GBS at the end of last year which linked to a GFM. Since then they have bumped the thread asking for money on a fairly regular basis.
Which brings us to today
Naturally, goons demanded that OP name and shame the person who had sent the upsetting message, but OP didn't need to as the thread was locked for a while and then the sender revealed themself.
An 11 page shitfight followed before the thread was eventually locked.

You know, one thing that gave me reason to pause recently when I was reading the forums was some goon was trying to organize a fundraiser for Ukraine or something and he said 'Don't worry, its a fellow goon, so its trustworthy
' and that was the extent of the evidence that credulous goons needed that giving a bunch money to some nobody wasn't a scam.Parting these idiots from their cash should probably be considered abusing the mentally disabled considering how easy it is, certainly Lowtax knew from his begging rounds that he did a few years ago, of course goons really try hard to forget about contributing massive sums of money towards his box wine and wifebeating fund.

Jeff just showed more spine than lowtax, he tried to handle things directly and privatly there doesnt seem to be a cabal of fyad posters pulling the strings from an IRC channel.

I think many people were suspicious but they had no proof. Ironically, it was someone comparing the contents of the SA posts with the content of their social media posts which convinced Jeffrey to check into it.
The length of time for which the thread was stickied was ludicrous, and it seemed like every time it was unstickied the OP bumped and it got stickied again.

This one's a pretty clear case of a real life problem that got fixed but it was just too dang good of a moneymaker to let go of.
This goon has been grifting since at least 2012 from what I remember. She had been kicked out of her house by her queer-hating parents and lived on the streets of coastal Florida somewhere near Tampa. Over the months of homelessness, she got suckered into working for Aflac, dealt with being homeless in a hurricane, and got robbed. She started asking e/n for advice and resources and then eventually straight up money.
Her name back then was Unexpected Road. After several months, she got hired at a mortuary and got an apartment. It looked like a success story, and it probably was, but the seed of grift had been fully planted so when she got sick years later, she knew where to turn for money. I can't blame her, really. She should have been more careful with her Twitter tho.

Speaking of fundraising/grifting, here's something from B+R.
CascadeBeta who self banned nearly a year ago apparently came groveling back to the forum.
B+R has a fundraising thread. Initially, there was a rule that you could use the thread once:
Before that rule was repealed CB used the fundraising thread 5 times, and apparently no one was able to openly call him out.
That last post is interesting because he self-banned just after it from his drama I mentioned previously and because it shows his paypal. While going through the thread I noticed someone else making a post shortly after CB self-banned:
This person is using the same paypal for their "girlfriend." So even after leaving in a flounce CB was still grifting these dullards. A whole bunch even:
These two posts are amusing because he can't even keep a one sentence story straight:
The most recent post just happens to be on the exact same day that CB returned to B+R.
Which definitely makes it seem like CB invented a "girlfriend" to signup on the site solely for the purpose of grifting. CB has been going around posting on other people's accounts with half-assed "hi" posts, which definitely makes it seem like he's not happy with the amount of money people are chipping in.
