Yeah, you see bans where people complain about it being taken out of context quite frequently from what I remember. Fuckin' LOL if the mods are gonna check said context, especially if you're on their shit-list.

He's not mentioned here at all but I always got the impression that "Videogames" was mentally ill, in the "suicidal levels of fucking stupid" kinda way.
 
He tries way too hard to be nice and naive, but instead is just really fucking ineffectual and is wrapped around the finger of certain goons.

Sort of a quasi-FAU if you will.

I liked Incoherence when he was a mod. Gave no shit about popular goons, nor did he moderate discussions he took part in. Can see why he quit though.

Don’t forget that once a post has been reported, any other report on any post in the thread fails to get submitted until the first report has been processed. Any other report gets deleted when you try to submit it, so when mods really hate a thread they just ignore all reports on it.

Lowtax (SA's owner) paid a "professional" coder somewhere in the ball park of $45,000/year for approximately three or four years and got that. That's $180,000 worth of coding for you.

Maybe if he paid one more year he could have gotten a working search function.

Kind of amazing that I now miss the days when Games was modded by a beef jerky addict and a women-as-toilets fetishist.
 
I've heard of people logging off a forum because they're angry at something. It's a natural human response to avoid something which causes a negative effect upon them.

But imagine logging on to a forum because you're angry. And then building more rage through a positive feedback loop with other like-minded, angry people. That's essentially everything wrong with Something Awful posters, excluding the blind arrogance and attempting to act stupid to hide their genuine stupidity.

The difference is that kiwis hide their damn powerlevel. Talking about your feelings and your personal life on KF gets you mocked; on SA it gets you backpats.

One result of this is goons making themselves angry about pointless shit and then one-upping each other over how outraged they are, to the point of wishing murder on others/themselves.
