ppl are verry mad saying that because of how this keeps happenng it casts suspicion on those getting for reals transphobic avatars. does that even happen, everry time the mob gets worked up bout it a fuss is made but oops it was a crazy narc troon wanting to play victim again
 
How is no one pointing out that Jeff has a team of 200 jannies cleaning up *phobic avatars? There are like 400 people still posting on SA, and half of them are on PFP mopping duty.

Well that's just the total number of moderators, not a dedicated avatar patrolling team. But of course making sure troons are comfortable is the overriding duty of any janny on SA, that's not news.
 
lol apparently Boba "Cow Bomber" Pearl accused one of his troon friends of being a groomer (in a fleeting moment of sanity I suppose) and then offered to cut off his pinky finger as penance.

He said they'd deputized IKs (idiot-kings, basically thread-only moderators) and up, as well other people, to patrol and clean *phobic avatars (along with other thought policing actions).
I'm still just pointing out that 200 people to take mops to PFP is a lot of people given SA's low population (decreasing by 51% YoY)

its funny cause they mock meme words while using "weeb" which is a taken from weeabo a perrybiblefellowship comic.

waifu is a loan word japanese say waifu they also say alot of loan words from german dutch and if you wanna get really really in weeds CHINESE!!

Adding a "u" (often with another consonant) is standard for loan words going into Japanese to fit tonality/cadence.
i.e. Baseball = base-a-baw-ru

Waifu was Japanese weebs importing Engrish, thus it quickly got associated with crushes on anime girls, and made its way back to english with that connotation even more strongly associated.

White men in dresses taking offense is like the whites trying to cancel Speedy Gonzales and getting told to fuck off, he's great by the brown people he was supposedly offending.

Waifu is used in Japanese in the nerd sense, but it's much much rarer than the Japanese word yome (bride) for the same concept. The source for waifu in the nerd sense seems to be a joke in Azumanga Daioh and it caught on universally since online weeb circles were much smaller in the early 2000's. Azumanga was big on early, pre-4chan Something Awful, which makes goons now being against the word waifu funnier to me.

That's the thing, the "doxxing" avatar was only up for one minute because a janny was in the thread at the time and instantly removed it.

That didn't stop goons from demanding the feature be removed, because even though all kinds of depraved shit have been put into those avatars since the 2000s, once it negatively impacts a trans users it has to go. Even though it won't hinder users in the slightest from putting private info in say, a regular post.

Anyway users are now a bit upset that Bobaperl wasn't banned sooner and was apparently protected by the mods. He previously posted under the name Turtlicious, and because he was a fucking lunatic he got a bunch of probatations for making death threats until finally getting permabanned


He then begged Jeffrey of YOSPOS to let him re-reg, because he transitioned and swore he was getting therapy ("I'm literally a different person now!")


The new and improved Bobaperl then proceeded to rack up a ton of 6h probations for death threats in a short period of time, but continued to be protected by the mods when he flip-flopped on publicly admitting he was Turtlicious (they even edited his posts)

So I guess as long as child killer goon troons out in prison, he'll be allowed to come back.
 
Even better, Jeffrey of YOSPOS is the site's owner, not just a regular mod

Anyway he wants to make it clear to the community how hurt and betrayed he is by this whole incident. Keep in mind it took him 5 days for him to publicly admit that it was a self-doxxing, because even after matching the IPs he had to talk to Bobaperl privately about what he found until even he had to admit that Boba was still lying in those covnos, and that's the main reason why he came clean

when i lived in japan the word i heard often was okusan.

It would be great if jeff didnt ban bobapearl but instead just gave back the turtleicous avatar and declaired open season on any bad behavior
