I know people that were engineers that wouldn't accept a job because "Engineer" wasn't part of the title, despite that job being 1:1 with a position that does. Those kinds of people take that shit seriously, and for good reason tbh. Certain engineering degrees are the few things I could justify needing a college degree, just because the massive amount of knowledge involved in getting into some fields and being able to maintain said knowledge in that field through aptitude afforded to them by rigorous education. Not to mention the fundamentals that encompass most engineering degrees, like a emphasis on research, design, and a heavy math and science component. People forget that the title of Engineer is usually reserved for people that know what they're doing and are generally seen as being extremely competent in their chosen field. I'd bet that the people claiming that it isn't a big deal are people that have never been in contact with someone that has, or is currently going to college for engineering, or any hard science for that matter. Imagine if he claimed he was a doctor or had an equivalent degree rather than saying a job title, it makes sense for people to take issue when someone claims to have a level of expertise when they don't, so I am totally unsurprised that Canada has laws enforcing as much.
Regardless of where you live, lying about your credentials, especially accredited college degrees, is fraud. If a company hired you on the basis of a degree that you did not have, and if your fraud caused damages to their business or reputation as a result of your incompetence that they were unaware of, they could have legal recourse to bring charges for intentionally misrepresenting yourself. This goes for ANY degree, not just engineering. It gets into real bad territory if you start fabricating documents, which to my knowledge, Mutahar has not.
I always never like Muta that much. I recall watching his videos and then eventually realizing how much he lies about shit so I couldn't trust him. The thing that broke it for me was his older videos back in the day where he does "Deep Web Exploration" that I'm fairly certain was mostly fake. Just watch his "Sad Satan" video and see his his fake-ass dry heaving to what was allegedly CSAM. I'm actually convinced at this point that most of the things he said or talked about are outright fabrication. It blows my mind that anyone would let this absolute grifter become famous, but he kept getting bigger and bigger for nothing. I believed his whole "I'm an engineer" shtick, because I didn't know what he did before Youtube, but once he started saying he was a property manager and day trader I knew that was some bullshit. Saying you're a stock market genius is the #1 cope for Internet faggots that are too embarrassed to admit that their primary income is from Google Ad pennies. For good reason too, imagine having your entire livelihood be from the scraps that tech companies feed you under the table. That and the outright scams that are in video sponsors, which I feel must pay out a ridiculous amount, and that's why some Youtubers are cagey about admitting how much money they actually make from shilling garbage. They know their money comes from them exploiting their viewers, but its literally the only way they can continue living their lifestyle, its a deal with the devil. In video sponsors are what is killing Youtube, it lets brands effectively double down on marketing, and lets slop Youtubers make a living off making nothing as long as its a vehicle for an advertisement, everyone wins except for the person watching for entertainment. I yearn for the day that Google manages to nix third party sponsors for good, and watch all the faggots that have grown reliant on them become destitute.
