I guess so, I just don't know if I can bring myself to get one. A little pink fridge to match ALRs. :(
Well now you gotta.

Does anyone know if it's that important to refrigerate this retinol? Does it just lose potency if you don't, or is it decomposing in to some chemical I don't want on my face? How quickly does it break down without refrigeration?
Lol, don't put it in the fridge. It has preservatives. Just keep it in a dark place, as retinol do break down in light. And I would argue it's bad to store it in a humid climate like the fridge.
I keep all my skincare in my nightstand.
Is that why people have been buying those beauty fridges?!
Only benefit from that, is having something cool slapped on to your skin when it's hot outside. Did recently see that Hamberlynn got a mini fridge to keep beside her bed. For drinks though. my genetics.jpeg

Retinol can oxidize, which is why a lot of retinol products use airless pumps. As it does, it'll become less effective. The cold of the fridge slows the oxidation process, especially if you live in a warm climate. I anecdotally have observed that my vitamin c serum turns yellow from oxidation way more slowly if I store it in the fridge.

That said, if you're using it nightly it shouldn't oxidize quickly enough at room temperature to be ineffective. It'll still oxidize in the fridge eventually, so if you're taking longer to use it up by keeping it in the fridge it's a moot point. Much more important to use it consistently!

e: Was just recommended a YouTube video what shows the effect a fridge can have on vitamin c:

Retinol doesn't change color when it oxidizes unlike vitamin C, but the effect is the same.

Anyone have a good, hopefully cheap, recommendation for something that can help clear up KP? I’ve been using normal body lotion but it doesn’t really make a difference. I don’t trust google because trying to google anything health related is a minefield of BS.

Glycolic acid toner from Revox or whatever brand you can get. Just a big bottle of glycolic acid and smear it on the affected area..

I've had decent success with Sanctuary body wash. It has jojoba oil in it. Only things that's made a noticeable difference.

This fucking retard have laughably bad result, compared to all the shit he uses AND he has been on it for over a year. He even admits to rarely using his tretinoin because it peels his skin. If he did research the usage of tretinoin, instead of all this BS. He would fast see that it goes over fast.

Most of the shit he puts into bottles (He admits to have one "blend" for his beard and one for his head hair) is rendered useless. Because duh, the preservatives aren't designed for anything else than what's originally in the minoxidil. Ingredients reacting to each other and general oxidation.

There's this obsession with dermaneedling. I won't say dermarolling, as those aren't as good as using a derma stamp. As those goes into the skin at a wrong angle and rather tears up the skin, instead of making a clean hole.
Because they want to activate the collagen synthesis.

Do you know what does depletes the skin of collagen? UV rays. I don't see this or any retard in this community mention using SPF.
It is hard to see any gains correctly, as it seems like the fucker has just grown out existing beard. The beard looks it best at 2 months, this is a hill I will die on and he looks homeless at 12 months.

"Good Morning Gentlemen,

I have been trying to increase my beard growth for 2 years, 1 of which has been on minoxidil. I am 31 years old.

I currently put 7 things into minoxidil and 5 things into my hyaluronic acid lotion. I use 1 mm dermaroller, in conjunction with vitamin c and lidocaine. I use a LLLT comb. I have tretinoin, but I rarely use it (my doctor gave me the strongest, I have .1%). Please see the attached photo for all the shit I've bought. If you'd like the science behind this stuff, please see my MEGA Post and MEGA Post Addendum.

I put into Minox: Adenosine (ATP), Arginine, Azelaic Acid, Caffeine (via guarana), Creatine, LCLT, and Peppermint. I am still figuring out at what amounts to put into the minox, as it is easy to oversaturate the minox and have chunks that will not dissolve.

I put into hyaluronic acid lotion: Amaranth, Arginine, Collagen, Vitamin E, and Keratin. I stopped putting in creatine, LCLT, and peppermint into my lotion as the above blend should be ok to use right after dermarolling (if it isn't please let me know). The American Academy of Dermatology advises not to use vitamin C/A (Tretinoin is the strongest vitamin a) or other such products soon after rolling, which makes sense, dermarolling is creating micro punctures all over the skin, maybe isn't the smartest to put random shit into those holes—though as guys it makes sense we like to put stuff into holes lol.

My biggest advice would be to use either .75 mm or 1 mm dermaroller. I used .5 mm for over a year, then .75 mm for like 4 months and still intermittently use it, and I've been mainly using 1 mm for about 6 months. Each time I increased length, I saw more explosive growth. I wouldn't advise the next length of 1.5 mm as that is too deep according to the research I found and presented in my MEGA Post. .5 mm is the minimum depth for collagen production, but I want to maximize collagen production, not do the minimum...

My routine: I mainly use minox once a day, but sometimes twice. I lotion often. I prep my skin prior to dermarolling by applying 20% vitamin c for 3 days [vitamin c maximizes the effects of dermarolling], use 5% lidocaine to numb skin, I use the 1 mm dermaroller, then wait about 2 days before using minox again. If I use 1 mm, I roll every 2 weeks. If I use .75 mm, I roll every week. I use LLLT comb every 2 days. I daily eat a little bit of Arginine, Creatine, and LCLT.

Unsure how long I'll keep at this, but another 1.5 years minimum sounds good (gotta try and use all the shit I've bought lol). Feel free to ask me any questions, but know that all the science is laid out in the MEGA Post and MEGA Post Addendum.

Good luck and remember, be consistent and trust the process."

I saw him falsify say that green tea is a DHT blocker in one of the mega posts. In fact, this is repeated by almost everyone that cares about DHT for one case or the other.
They got this idea because of studies suggest that EGCG MIGHT have a correlation with lowering DHT.
It's just like those parroting that parabens cause breast cancer, and aluminium in antiperspirants being dangerous as well. There is NO evidence than a it MIGHT have a correlation to it.

Green tea is superior as both as a superfood/supplement and a skincare ingredient. Those who disagree can cope, sneed and dilate.

About my own gains.
I have been on it for 3 months, I think. As I tried it a year or so ago, but got bored fast. Did get some gains already then. Mainly on my neck. Anyway, I got an goatee now and it is BEGINNING to develop hairs on my cheeks. This is going to sake some time, as all the hairs I had were peach fuzz. At this rate, I even have more facial hair than my dad. So I'm not concerned about any genetic limitation, as the hairs were already there and just needed a push to grow.

I smear minoxidil on my thighs too, as I pretty much only grew peach fuzz there too (Thank you dad)

Most budget:
Use soap with tea tree oil, exfoliate with a loofah/sponge that's actually a little bit rough and not those generic sponges that just spread soap around, moisturize after.

If you have more money, get an exfoliating body wash (chemical exfoliant, like something with salicylic acid), like CeraVe SA (the entire line is great for KP, not just the body wash)

Good news, this is also as expensive as it'll get because there isn't really any other treatment. Basically just exfoliate and take care that you're not actually allergic to the things you already use.

Hello,

This is my 1 month update of using a Hydroquinone 2% cream.

First of all, let's look at the ingredients. The cream consists of Hydroquinone 2%, combined with Tretinoin 0.025% and Mometasone Furoate 0.1% (to make it less harsh on the skin).

Secondly, this cream it's just some generic Indian brand because this substance is banned where I live. It literaly cost me nothing.

I use the cream all over my face. So far I have used about 45g of product (3x15g). The results are absolutely amazing. I can't comprehend how after only a month of usage there is so much improvement. Tretinoin has absolutely demolished some fine wrinkles I had around my eyes (I thought it needed about a year to work but I guess I was wrong) and hydroquinone has made my face whiter than ever before. PIE scars are absolutely 100% gone. PIH scars are about 90% gone with some small dots remaining that are actually countable now. For example there are 8 dots remaining on the left side of my face but you need to actually zoom in on the pictures to see them. The hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage under my eye has faded a lot. Absolutely amazing results and I'm actually really happy.

My skincare routine right now is only a cleanser, this cream and sunscreen if I go outside. I will continue this routine for 2 to 4 weeks more and hopefully by then the hyperpigmentation under my eye will be 100% elimated along with the remaining dots of PIE. As you have noticed, I don't use any moisturizer but it's ok. The peeling and dryness I experience is minimal.

After 2 to 4 weeks I plan on changing my routine to Cleanser-Exfoliating cream-Moisturizer with SPF in the AM and Cleanser-Retinol-Moisturizer in the PM.

After seeing the results of Tretinoin and how tolerant on my skin it is I'm thinking of switching Retinol with a stronger % of Tretinoin...

What do you think?

PS. My friend is brown skinned and started using Hydroquinone at the same time as me but she has seen 0 results. This could be because she is brown skinned or because maybe she hasn't been consistent with its use. I don't know.

I'm pretty certain you're a troll @Ifollowrivers, or you're just a retarded shitskin Indian. Which might explain one thing or two.

First of all: Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing (topical) works in just one measly month.
Second: Its quite ironic to say your "friend" is a shitskin, when you’re one as well. INDIANS AREN'T WHITE.

Why the fuck does a post where someone is happy about their progress turn you into a raging autismo?

Hydroquinone can have effects in a month, fyi.

Hydroquinone works 100% after 4 weeks. You are welcome.

Because this isn't a place for placebo and misinformation. Go on, be happy. Just don't shit up the thread. Especially if you're non-white.
And for your information, people lie all the time on the internet.

I mainly pointed to the tretinoin, as I need to admit that I never have had any need for hydroquinone. Oh, what a sin.

For some reason the UI isn't letting me quote your post before this one, so I'll give my 2c here:

First, congrats on your results! I'm hoping to start on hydroquinone soon myself so I'm encouraged to hear your outcome.

Regarding your routine post-hydro, I'd personally consider alternating your exfoliating cream in the AM with an an antioxidant like vitamin C. I regularly hear advice from derms that most people exfoliate more than they need to, and it really doesn't need to be done more than 2-3 times per week at most. An antioxidant is a great AM routine addition because in addition to evening and brightening skin tone, (and potentially building collagen depending on formulation,) it can help absorb free radicals from UV radiation, giving you a little extra sun protection.

Do you have a source on that?
Source?
A source. I need a source.
Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.
No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.
You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.
Do you have a degree in that field?
A college degree? In that field? Are you a dermatologist or something?
Then your arguments are invalid.
No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.
Correlation does not equal causation.
CORRELATION. DOES. NOT. EQUAL. CAUSATION.
You still haven't provided me a valid source yet.
Nope, still haven't.
I just looked through all 308 pages of your user history, figures I'm debating a glormpf supporter. A moron.

Thanks for your advice. I will decide when I finish my hydroquinone cycle. If you start my only advice would be to not be disappointed if you don't see results after 1-3 weeks. Just waitnm for 4 weeks to pass first to see if it's working for you or not.

I don't follow your ramblings @Ifollowrivers, at all. Not surprised at all though, but it's quite funny that me pointing out you're a retarded shitskin did develop into you PROVING you're fully retarded.

You're a complete fag for white knigthing this shitskin @Yaoi Zowie. This is why I never will be sad when you fags get killed by our melanated "friends". It already do happen, and it will continue to happen. Completely without the help from us racially conscious people.

On to the threads topic:

I did buy a stack of collagen supplement a month or so ago. Haven't seen any changes in skin, hard to get any changes when the skin already is good. Did have an aching knee from working out, and the pain is mostly gone.

You are a sperging faggot that doesn't even know one of the most famous copypastas. Kys.

Just because I have a cream made in India, it doesn't mean I'm Indian you fucking retard. What the fuck. You really are an exceptional individual. Why would I lie on a forum where we laugh at retards (ie you) l, and in a topic about skincare of all places. Just kys already and put the collagen supplement up your ass. I heard it works better this way faggot.
