you would think that artists would want to make their art actually resemble the characters they are trying to portray, but dear lord i couldn't even tell that was Adachi (or Dojima for that matter) until you posted his pic. I still see no resemblance. I just don't get it.

Well, there are those fans of a show who truly believe, deep down inside, that they KNOW what a character is better than, you know, the people who CREATED them? That's how you got those long rants about how the writers of this show or that show were RUINING so-and-so by NOT DOING THEM RIGHT!

This is just the same thing, drawing them they way they KNOW they really should be drawn..... since the animators won't do it RIGHT.

It might just be the art style since it looks like they tried to make humanized Mettaton chubby, even though the canonical design is slim.

Drawing Mettaton as a female is oddly common in the fandom, though, or as a MtF trans. I suppose it's because of his second form having a more feminine form and many people will use that to headcanon trans characters so that they feel there's more representation for trans persons. There's been some sperg-outs about it by the more rampant SJW Undertale fans.
Considering Mettaton is a robot built by a weeaboo, if he had any junk you'd think it'd be tentacles or a glowing invisible dick or some other ridiculous anime-inspired thing. Not just a suspiciously human looking vag.

I like how according to the progressive warriors for justice insist its impossible for a guy to be cis and have feminine interests and aesthetics, oh no, he *has* to be some kind of tranny.

Also calling it now that Undertale is the new Homestuck fandom.

It takes an incredible amount of hubris to think that the people who created the show are writing the characters wrong and you can do it better.

I've seen the Undertale porn tag and believe me tentacles and glowing dicks are really goddamn common, though moreso on the Skeletons than Mettaton; people seem to give him interchangeable mechanical fuck parts. It's where some of the sperging comes in, not only because half the fandom gets their jimmies really rustled at there being porn, but some start shirt about the sexual organs fanartists slap onto their favorite characters from the series because it's "misgendering" or whatever.

It's just a fuckload of autism watching them have slap fights over a fictional robot's junk.

SJWs constantly have double-standards, and the Undertale fandom isn't spared from this exceptional thinking; on one side of the coin there are people who think Mettaton being, in all technicality, a genderless robot going by male pronouns but being generally feminine, is just fine. On the other side of the coin, you have people screeching about because he's mildly feminine how it must mean he's actually trans or genderqueer or god-fucking-knows what.

It's like how the kid you play as, Frisk, is referred to as they/them/the human throughout the game so people can sort of insert themselves into that character's position; the moment you call them a he or she the SJW brigade has the biggest tizzy saying you're erasing genderless characters/culture or something like that.

Is that humanized Papyrus on the left?
Yes, yes it is. For whatever reason people on tumblr usually draw the skeletons as being black, mostly based on stereotypes. Like Sans is supposed to be black because he's the typical laid back black guy, and Papyrus is the typical goofy, excitable black guy. It's racist as fuck yo.

The only thing that even resembles Adachi is the hair.

Do these people even logic
(especially considering that there are people who think drawing Frisk who canonically is yellow-skinned with slanted eyes as asian is racist)

One humanization I found, this time a Warrior Cats character
Note: in the books, this character has a male mate and is a mom of 3 kittens

This is undoubtedly true. It's almost universal in the fandom that Papyrus and Sans are black when humanized.

I'm not sure what made the fandom hook onto two skeletons being black when humanized, but fuckit, there's no point in trying to rationalize it.

I never read this series and I'm offended by this. Sometimes I wonder if they do this to piss us off.

Aren't gingers usually pale? Unless they've dyed their hair orange, which...why?

I get people want representation but how many natural red-heads have dark skin?

I read a couple books from the series a few years ago; basically it's just about cats who fight things, like other cats. Not sure if it's changed over the years and gotten more complex than that.

You think they'd at least pick a brown or black cat to humanize into a black person. Maybe I'm trying to put too much sense into it.

Whoever made this humanisation seemed sincere. Plus, I think those people like the idea of deliberately offending people who share "wrong" opinions.

I looked it up and it seems like the person who made this humanization makes all human versions of Warrior Cats either 50 shades of brown or with skin pigmentation disorders

Someone should humanize the skeletons as Tyce and Jace.

One can only imagine how the former would react to all this skelatin disrespect (especially making them niggos).
