So about 10 people injured or possibly killed in a mass shooting in Toronto. Witnesses saying the bodies are scattered down a couple blocks. The shooter is reported dead.

oronto police were called to an area outside a restaurant on Danforth Avenue near Logan Avenue around 10 p.m. following reports of multiple gunshots.

Witnesses tell CityNews that they heard up to 25 gunshots.

Paramedics tell CityNews the scene encompasses several blocks and a number of victims have sustained significant injuries. Six victims have been transported to trauma centres, 1 to a pediatric trauma centre and two to local hospitals while an unconfirmed number of people are being treated at the scene.

The fate of the gunman is unknown at this time but unconfirmed reports say the shooter is no longer active.

So they're not ruling out that this was a terror attack, they're also not releasing the identity and motive of the killer. :thinking:
 
lol, and all the news reports were identifying the guy as white up until the authorities revealed his full name and identity.

Thought Canada was a gun free no fun allowed zone. Nice to see I'm wrong. I guess. I dunno, Canada is boring. This story is boring. The poll choices were more interesting than this story. I had my hopes up that it was some drunk mick who got brain problems and thought he was a time traveler and was attacking the empire.
 
Simple news logic:

If shooter is Caucasian/light-skinned, immediately release name and information to hungry internet wolves ready to reinforce their narratives. Plaster image and situation everywhere to make a statement and push need for change. Bitch about Drumpf and toxic white supremacy.

If shooter is kebab/dindu/dark-skinned, hold information for as long as possible to give hope to said internet wolves. Try to release information about shooter as quietly as possible in order not to offend twitter warrior's narratives. Ignore shooting and potential talking points to bitch about Drumpf and toxic white supremacy.
 
The 18 yr old girl who was shot and died was out on a humid summer night eating ice cream with her friends. Her name was Reese Fallon. Identity of the minor isn't known yet. She was politically active with the Young Liberals organization. Despite how that might sound weird it is common especially for teens who were raised by a Liberal Party supporting parent.

Hussein. .. that's a nice Canadian name who I'm sure was just studying hard while drinking maple syrup and minding his own business until he got racially profiled and had to go apeshit on everyone around him...

Went to a Canadian toronto college right when the whole Muhammed drawing comic contest was going down where Muslims killed a bunch of cartoonists in france or wherever. Then Went up to the Muslim kids in my class after the fact and said "isnt that so fucked? They're misrepresenting you! You guys don't believe in that right?"
Their response was just "well you shouldn't make drawing's or cartoons about Muhammed. " like low key defending these guy's. I sat as far as I could away from those guys after hearing that. Some cultures are just too OK with death sentences for religious ideals that are incompatible with western values. Made me afraid to speak my mind or make a joke for the whole year. I've never been more worried about muslim terrorist attacks. Off topic but while i was there and they increased the Muslim population by 30% over the 2 years I was there, sexual assaults went up to 12 every 3 months always described as someone with dark tan skin cause youre not allowed to publicize someone's ethnicity in an investigation

We've just gotta remember that the silent majority is remembering shit like this. They're not saying anything, but they're seeing every child shot by a terrorist and every clumsy attempt to cover it up. The pendulum's gonna swing back. It always does.

Oh god... then we'll have to be the people saying "No, not all Arabs are bad, it's just the radical muslims." to which they'll respond "Sounds like something a muslim lover would say!". Somehow they'll still call us nazis though.
