Yeah, I'm saying 'I don't understand how Shane ever took off' because I WAS the emo teen girl in the mid-late 2000's and thought he was shit back then. The problem with Shane isn't necessarily that he made those jokes, it's that he got defensive when he got called out on it, whined his way through a shitty apology video, and then didn't change. You can write off certain things as offensive jokes, sure. Even if we ignore the blackface bits, the Willow Smith thing, and the raping babies thing, we still have him and his girlfriend talking about sexual acts with his 12 year old cousin, him trying to out various youtubers, the BetterHelp thing and so much more that seems more indicative of him being a shit person than him trying to be funny for attention on Youtube.

Plus, this is all coming about now because of his involvement with the targeted takedown of James Charles over hair vitamins and make up brand deals. You can read his statement about it just a few posts up, he just posted it a few days ago and that 'drama' only happened last year.

I don't think this is people digging around from decade old stuff to find things that are offensive by today's standards and virtue signalling, mostly because I've seen people calling him out for it this whole time. He's getting heat for it now, sure. It'll settle down soon enough because cancel culture does fuck all.

People think Grayson Dolan asked Jeffree to not reveal he's the victim because of the situation with his father. He passed away last year at a very young age (50 years) and people now speculate Grayson didn't want more drama during this hard time. James was/is very powerful and I can understand that a victim would want to stay quiet. Let's see how it turns out.

Onision probably got popular, at the very least GOT HIS WIFE, from kissing Shane.

Oh, the blackface is the least of why he's getting "cancelled." That was pushed aside in the Twitter-sphere when the behind-the-scenes pedoshit came out. Granted, it'd been known for years apparently, but it says a lot that he still has an audience of 12 year olds, 12 years after having an audience of 12 year olds.

His stuff was standard "edgy" YT fare, and while at the time I (and many others) excused how cringey/genuinely wacist his jokes were, it was passed off as okay because he was psuedo-gay (pre openly bi), and because had black friends who didn't mind. Maybe they did and were chasing clout, but considering the culture of Web 2.0, they likely didn't mind.

The most damning thing now is outside of his scripted videos--"jokingly" having his very underage cousins and fans breastfeed on himself and his other adult friends, suck down a wiener sexually while not knowing what they're doing, talking in graphic detail about sex to them, including asking if they've had their period yet, having preteens twerk on stickham and talking about wanting to rape them, having fans give him and his friends lapdances, plus grabbing onto his pre-teen fans highly inappropriately (kissing them on the neck, grabbing their hips, pulling their hair, making posts with them on Facebook and outright stating he's a pedophile)--this goes far beyond "lol edgy Shanaynay." His audience has always been pre-teens because he's actively trying to attract them, not because he naturally does, especially now considering he's no longer a twink.

He must know where some bones are buried; there's no way someone especially like Keemstar wouldn't jump on a lesser Youtuber for this massive amount of evidence. The fact that he's been able to skirt this for so long, considering this has been well known for years now, really shows how much pull he has. The greatest irony would be if Will Smith (often speculated to be a massive pedo) and his kids (often speculated to have been molested by him and possibly incesting each other on the regs) called him out. Typical Hollywood bullshit.

Anyway, Shane was never funny and I wouldn't have sex with him because I am an adult woman.
