I don't get how Shane ever took off. He's never been funny, he's hard to look at and his voice makes my skin crawl. Even when he isn't doing anything offensive, he sets off warning bells, you know? I've always known some of the nasty shit he's said and done, but everyday, more and more gets compiled and people are finding the thing that they can't excuse.

I don't think it's 'oh all of a sudden, people care now!' because of metoo/blm/cancel culture or whatever. People have always had a problem with Shane and have been calling him out for years. He's honestly going to be fine once this blows over, unless Youtube steps in.

Shane used to be adored by emo teen girls when he was skinny and had longer hair. That's mainly how he took off. As he's aged he has transformed into what we know today (fat, gay, greasy, irritating). Think of old memes like Pedobear etc, it was more normal to make edgy jokes especially on the internet back then. Early-mid 2000s internet was shock humour and edgy content. 2020 internet is cancel someone for decades old shit they already deleted and screech BLM from the rooftops at every available moment to virtue signal.
